Couple great songs on here (Our House, Almost Cut My Hair) but on the whole a bit meandering for me.
Can't argue with the hits but a whole album is just a bit much 💀
My second Steely Dan album in a week... not best pleased!! I liked this better than Pretzel Logic - less rocky but more cheesy. Unfortunately the last few songs pushed it down to another 2 stars 👎
I LOVE War Pigs. Fun to have a reason to listen to the rest of the album. I was having a good time but I got a bit bored in the second half - maybe just too much of the same for me.
Love it, one of my all-time classics. European Son is usually a skip for me though 😬
Heard bits of this before but never listened to it in full - great album. The only miss for me was Oompa Radar...
Honestly liked this a lot more than I expected. Kind of an intense listen so I'm not sure I'd come back it a lot, but glad I gave this a chance.
Not really my thing, but nowhere near as cheesy as I thought
Not enough going on lyrically for me to get stuck into personally, but this was fun
Not gonna be a repeat listen for me, but damn this was some good cowboy drama
The 2 first songs are absolute bangers, but having listened to this album a few times over the years, they're the only tracks I come back to. There's not much else I connect with here. Still, the rest of it isn't *bad* (except Mother's Lament...???).
I'm trying to separate art from artist and all that with this challenge, but I should also note that Eric Clapton can get fucked.
I started getting a migraine while I was listening to this and I don't think the two things are totally unrelated
I enjoyed this! Even though I liked the Tears for Fears songs I knew already it would never have occurred to me to listen to one of their albums.
On an unrelated note, I think my dad said he met one of these guys in a smoking area one time. I should ask him about that...
More listenable than I expected but also more goofy
Found this very repetitive. Didn't really do anything for me.
This is the first one I've thought about skipping, but I did end up making it to the end. The human story behind the album is sad but I really don't think it should be on the list - it's totally unfinished.
Man I loved this. I'm realising it makes a big difference what I'm doing while I listen to an album. I listened to this while I was doing something creative and energetic, and it was a perfect match.
This was great, not sure why I've struggled to get into it previously
I just can't ever stay with Bjork for the length of an entire album, and this one felt the same way
Cheese, not the tasty kind
This is making it into my rotation, 100%. LOVED it.
It's a goodun but honestly it's a bit too much rock for me. Also, Success is just such a hard skip...
Not my favourite Bowie album, but it's pretty damn good
I couldn't explain why but I sure did hate this album. (The band name can't have helped)
Honestly I was so excited for the big hits but I didn't realise the album tracks would be so MUSHY
Perfectly listenable, kinda boring
These 2000s fuzzy indie rock bands are just so boring to me...
I meeean I know this is exactly the kind of thing that put me off hip hop when I was younger, but tbh it slaps
