Rockin' and very art rock sound. It reminded me of Rocky Horror music.
There are a few bangers that are always a good listen, but I don't love the album as a whole. It's interesting to listen to the "b sides", but I don't exactly enjoy them. I know they were exploring psychological turmoil and social issues, and I appreciate that.
Loved dancing to prodigy at industrial clubs in the late 90's. It's a great album that reflects the anger and cynicism at that time. It's better in a dance club. Not really the kind of album you sit around listening to.
At first I thought I would hate this album with that droney folky voice. As I listened on, I found it more and more interesting and wondered about its place in music history. He definitely had some artiistc chops and seemed to be on the cutting edge of what was happening at the time.
Creative and fun for a couple of listens, but it's really Damon Albarn playing around with different genres and taking everyone along for the ride. I think he's gotten better at that since this album. I was there for some of it, but got a little bored with some songs.
Country and punky and gritty. Love it!
I love this album so much. The melodies are amazing and it's got psychedelia and New Wave and indie rock. It's just about perfect. Only thing is that if you listen to the lyrics, it is pretty creepy.
Not a big fan of live albums, but Thin Lizzy is a whole lot of classic rock fun.
This is just good country/folk music. Super pleasant to listen to.
