1001 Albums Summary

Some great songs but also some skip-able tracks. Not sure why it’s consistently at the top of all time record lists. Not the biggest fan of Ian Brown’s voice either.

It starts with the banger 5/5 Paint it Black. But there are a few skippable tracks for me—Lady Jane for sure—and the last track, Going Home, was painful, so overall, it can only be a 3 at most. UPDATE - I realise now that I listened to the US version. The UK version does not have Paint it Black. I listened to the additional 4 songs. Out of Time was good. But the album drops to 2 stars without Paint it Black.

It's a little boring. Music is good in places but the falsetto voice is terrible. I would not listen again.

A real mixed bag. 3 outstanding tracks.

A very different listen to how I remember it from its original release. Juvenile and misogynistic. Got half-way through and gave up.
