Beastie Boys- Old school hip-hop, rock, and jazz - Beats are groovy - The fully instrumental songs are a nice addition/balance out the more raucous vocal ones - Can be jarring and obnoxious at times
- Old school hip-hop, rock, and jazz - Beats are groovy - The fully instrumental songs are a nice addition/balance out the more raucous vocal ones - Can be jarring and obnoxious at times
Rock with metal, onset of madness and rage - Can feel the anger and dark emotions - Difficult to listen to at times as it can be loud and abrasive to the ears (more of a personal preference thing) - "Hurt" is an outstanding track that gives the sense of deep pain culminating in death
Irish folk style, drinking beers at the pub with the lads - Upbeat and hearty, instrumentation stands out - Not too much variety and not quite my cup of tea
Slow, simple, folk tunes like a man strumming a guitar by the creekside - Cohen has a great voice which is the standout element from the album - Quite monotonous as songs all generally sound the same, instrumentals are quite boring
Funky, bubbly, hanging by the beach with a margarita - Great blend of melodies and instruments, catchy and upbeat - Electric guitar is standout - I can see it as a precursor/inspiration behind some modern R&B - Nothing crazy special, listenable but not quite desirable
Rock with indie elements, experimental - Definition of hit or miss, some tunes are fantastic while others are forgettable, some vocals are great while others are jarring, some instrumentals really hit the spot while others are just repetitive - Beetlebum and Death of a Party are standout tracks
Smooth R&B, hints of jazz, warm apple cider by the fireplace - Nice vocals and complementary instrumentals - Can see it as inspiration for some modern R&B artists - Nothing outstanding, easy to listen to but a little dull
Country music performed at a prison, I can imagine Johnny strumming his guitar in front of a group of inmates - Live music aspect is unique and adds some flavor, but detracts from the listenability - Deep voice and funny vocals are standouts - More of a show than music I would listen to
Catchy, groovy tunes, gives me modern Michael Jackson vibes - Voice and instrumentals are diverse and standouts, they are clean yet have the old-school R&B feel - Not much to complain about, but did not blow me away
Mix of tango, classical, and jazz - Skillful instrumentation especially on the bandoneon and percussion such as vibraphone - Intermissions of classical with violins was nice, giving a grand dramatic feel that contrasts the whimsical tango vibe - No noteworthy melodies, good for background music
Folk with some unique aspects like jazz and rock, frolicking in the fields - Good blend of different instruments and styles, making it fun to listen to - Standout tracks include Bridge Over Troubled Water for the vocals, The Boxer for the deep saxophone, and The Only Living Boy in New York for the melody - Some songs get repetitive
Country with pop themes - Experimental instrumentals that work pretty decent - Nothing offensive but no standouts either
Country music, cowboys in the Wild West - Voice is smooth and deep - Pretty boring for melodies, lyrics, and instrumentals
Heavy metal, screechy, burn the whole world down - Guitar is strong albeit overpowering at times - Not my cup of tea
Indie rock style, being from Illinois/Chicago makes me resonate more with this album especially the city references - Experimental and unique instrumentals, brass, drums, strings are standouts - Lots of genres and styles, vocals are quite soft and mellow - Melodies get repetitive at times or slightly dull
Gangster French rap - Cannot understand anything but the French language has a unique flow especially when rapped fast - Old school hip hop beats
Mixtures of pop with dance - Very nice instrumentals - Nothing Can Stop Us is standout track - Vocals can be quite repetitive, some tracks are boring
Blues, jazz club - Great vocals, deep voice - Instrumentals such as harmonica and guitar are nice - Gets boring after a little bit
Peaceful folk, reminiscing beside a lake - Soft vocals with guitar, very stripped-down sound that conveys a sense of sadness yet also calm - Can be quite dull, but knowing the backstory of Nick Drake makes it more powerful
Grungy dark metal - Pretty rough even for metal music - Screeching instrumentals and indistinguishable lyrics makes it hard to listen to, had difficulty finishing the album
Rock and elements of folk - Raspy vocals are nice, instrumentals solid - Maggie May is standout track - Some tracks are not that noteworthy
Punk afro rock, funky and carefree - Once in a Lifetime is a good song - Nice beats and drums - Gets a little repeptitive
Electronic with rock elements, futuristic techno club music - Clean production with nice synths - Vocals can be a little dull
Vintage rock sound - Nice drums and guitar, which are standouts - Vocals are alright, as are melodies
Rock with a little bit of soul - Raw vocals, can be off-putting at times - Strong instrumentals such as saxophone and drums
Rock, punk skateboarding graffiti - Maps is standout track - Guitars and drums are nice - Vocals are interesting, slightly muffled feel
Folk, strumming on the porch at a ranch house - Nice harmonica and guitar - Quite boring
Oldies rock - Nice guitar - Nothing outstanding
Rock and reggae - Unique blend of the two styles - A bit too long
Synth pop, nostalgic dreamy vibes - Instrumentals are great, have a classic feel but also aged pretty well - Melodies and vocals are pretty good
Country and rock - Instrumentals are pretty good, acoustic and electric guitar are nice - Vocals are average and so are melodies, nothing special
Funk, soul, and pop - Pretty long album - Some songs are pretty good, but some are just average
Good old rock and roll - Good instrumentals like guitar, drums, and saxophone
Punk and rock - I like the raw vocals of U2 - Not my favorite album from them
Ambient classical music - Very calming, nice background music - Melodies are good but gets repetitive
Instrumental rock jazz - Some interesting sounds but no memorable melodies - Attempt at experimental but fell a bit flat
