Rubber Soul
BeatlesA classic banger! However some of the song lyrics do NOT hold up well 😂

Not my usual listen but super dope soul with excellent musicianship.
Not for me. All the songs sounded the same.
A BANGERRRRE! Love New Order. Elegia best track on this one 👌👌👌
How did a not know about an all girl punk band from the early 80s from LA?! Madness. Loved it!!
Here’s the thing; I appreciate Andre3000 was a big deal in hip hop and he changed things in a big way, but this music just isn’t for me. I don’t think Andre had white women in their 30s in mind when he made this, and that’s okay! I like his Jazz flute stuff better.
OOOSH! A banger. Love this one and used to spin it all the time when I was a teenager.
Yooo this album is really good. Bit mad they’re from Leeds and I’ve never heard them. Looks like they didn’t blow up massive but still. Love the heavier indie rock sensibilities mixed with the electronica/computer esq beeps and boops. Very cool album. I enjoy 💻
Ahahahaha I don’t need to listen to this again. This album altered my brain chemistry when I was 13 years old. It can have the 5 stars. 😂
I don’t mind a bit of talking heads every now and then but they don’t blow me away. This one was fun and funky, but I don’t think I’d go out of my way to put it on again and listen. Ether way, inoffensive and a fun morning listen!

The guitar tones on this album are stunning too, always blows my mind that guitars were sounding THAT GOOD back in the 60s. Madness. Banger after banger, a quality listen for an easy morning.

Listened: 5/02/2025 Album no: 14 % rating: 68% Fave Song: Building Steam with a Grain of Salt This is not what I think of when I think of Hip Hop. I feel like I have an avenue into this through British dance music and EDM so it makes more sense to me than “traditional hip hop” (what ever that might be?). This feels simultaneously very 90s but also very modern, it’s aged really well. It is giving low key Matrix vibes though haha. This is still a tough listen for me, but the challenge on this one is very welcome. I definitely like it, but I don’t think I could be a passive listener of this just yet. It’s taxing my noodle, but in a good way! I can imagine if I stick with this one it will grow on me more.

Absolutely fantastic classic rock, great guitars, phenomenal tone, banger riffs. Just all round a lot of fun. Great to listen to this one.

There’s a trumpet on track two that literally sounds like someone singing. Wild and fabulous. Also kinda reminds me of old Disney movies at points. I put this on while I was working and I initially thought there would be too much going on to concentrate, but the opposite happened. I got on with a lot of stuff. Love that. Yeah really enjoyed this!
