The Yes Album by Yes
Apr 15 2025

Not bad, lots of energy. Long jams. Great guitar work

At Folsom Prison by Johnny Cash
Apr 16 2025

Great tracks and chat from the man in black

Iron Maiden by Iron Maiden
Apr 18 2025

Good bangers. Was impressed

Off The Wall by Michael Jackson
Apr 21 2025

Some great tracks, he has better ones

Porcupine by Echo And The Bunnymen
Apr 23 2025

Great album to have a listen to, would jam it again

Apr 25 2025

Great album to define the genre. Started well but found too repetitive to go 5 starts. Need to add to my collection

Blur by Blur
Apr 28 2025

Some great tracks on here but inconsistent. Some of the more experimental stuff is not my favorite stuff from them. The stand out tracks are some of my favorites from Blur, Beetlebum, On your Own, MOR. Others are easily forgotten.

Songs For Swingin' Lovers! by Frank Sinatra
Apr 29 2025

Great stuff from him but not really my thing. The songs are very samey and the lyrics are (obviously) dated. I can see myself listening to a good Christmas album from ol' Frank. Difficult to find another time i would listen.

Goodbye And Hello by Tim Buckley
Apr 30 2025

Not my jam. Not bad background music but nothing really stood out. Won’t go another listen

Hysteria by Def Leppard
May 01 2025

Tempted to give it 5. Would go 4 and a half if i had the option. This is them at their peak. Absolute bangers from go to wo. Woodchopping on the drums and some awesome guitar work. Almost every track is a single or single quality. None you would want to skip.

The Who Sell Out by The Who
May 02 2025

I did not enjoy this one. A bit too experimental for my taste

21 by Adele
May 05 2025

A great listen when i first got it. Maybe overdid it then. It holds up today. Especially 'Rolling in the deep' and 'Someone like you'. Great songwriting mixed with a great voice. 3 is a rating for me, but it probably deserves another star at least in a general rating.

Brothers In Arms by Dire Straits
May 06 2025

Some awesome songwriting here and amazing musical talent. The title track is the highlight to finish. 'So Far Away', 'Money for Nothing' and 'Your Latest Trick' are other awesome tracks. Knopfler is one of the best to ever do it.

3 Feet High and Rising by De La Soul
May 07 2025

The Magic Number is a good track but I didn't have lasting power with this album. It is not a genre I listen to often. I would not be opposed to listening to this album again, but I would not be searching for opportunities to do so.

Raw Like Sushi by Neneh Cherry
May 08 2025

I only listened to the first two tracks, didn't like them and looked her up on Spotify. It turns out they are the most popular two on the album. I won't be giving it another listen.

m b v by My Bloody Valentine
May 09 2025

Not a fan. I have tried these guys before and haven't liked it. I'm not sure what the hype is about to be honest

So by Peter Gabriel
May 11 2025

A good listen. Was more interested to see what he is like as I hadnt been much of a listener before. It was good. Not opposed to a second listen but not super impressed

May 12 2025

This was terrible. I can't believe there are people out there who would have purchased this album expecting to be entertained. I can't believe the band could write this and think it sounds good. Many of the songs just sound like a bunch of kids mucking around with instruments in a high school music room. It only gets a 1 star because I can't give it a 0.

Hot Rats by Frank Zappa
May 13 2025

Not my thing, but I can imagine it working in the background at the right party in my youth. He is definitely talented. I made it all the way through, listening in the car on the way to work. It is a strong 1 star in that I somewhat enjoyed it but can't make it to 2 because I wouldn't give it a second listen or recommend it.

Countdown To Ecstasy by Steely Dan
May 14 2025

Not my favorite. I am glad I gave it a listen but I wont be recommending it or going back. Great riffs, a bit samey. Talent exists but not my thing. I feel there is better in that era. I've never listened to Aja and assume it will pop up on this list at some stage.

Lam Toro by Baaba Maal
May 15 2025

This was terrible. I don’t know how it made the list. Only got as far as I did because I listened while mowing the lawns. The only reason I’d put it on again would be to try and scare cats away.

Led Zeppelin III by Led Zeppelin
May 16 2025

Great start with immigrant song to kick it off. Amazing musicians who can’t do much wrong.

Led Zeppelin IV by Led Zeppelin
May 17 2025

Similar to III, some of the greatest guys to ever do it and they do it well here

Pictures At An Exhibition by Emerson, Lake & Palmer
May 19 2025

A bit weird. Got through more tracks than I thought I would.

In Rainbows by Radiohead
May 20 2025

A bit slow. I didn't enjoy on the first listen. Like many of theirs, I will push through and may end up enjoying more in a future listen.

In-A-Gadda-Da-Vida by Iron Butterfly
May 21 2025

I'm glad I listened to it, but really not my thing

Are You Experienced by Jimi Hendrix
May 22 2025

Great ability on show here. A very consistent album

Stripped by Christina Aguilera
May 23 2025

Not my usual thing, but there is serious talent here. There is a great blend of genres, hip hop mixed with Spanish guitar etc. Some good guest vocal work from Lil Kim. The singles are bangers with 'Fighter' and 'Beautiful' leading the charge. The album works as a great concept album of feminist anthems. Impressive

Bossanova by Pixies
May 26 2025

Right up there in my best pixies albums. Bangers from go to wo. Dig for fire is a fave

Sea Change by Beck
May 28 2025

A bit slow but I enjoyed. Will listen again. Would add it to the collection at the right price

Tanto Tempo by Bebel Gilberto
May 29 2025

Not my usual thing but I enjoyed it. Nice beat, relaxing jams

Can't Buy A Thrill by Steely Dan
May 30 2025

Some really good tracks here. I can see myself giving it another listen. I enjoyed more than the last Steely Dan album

Pretzel Logic by Steely Dan
May 31 2025

These guys get better the more I listen. This one made me feel like I should give the others another go. Great opener with Rikki and the others created good vibes.

Faust IV by Faust
Jun 01 2025

It might be good for some, but I did not enjoy

Frampton Comes Alive by Peter Frampton
Jun 02 2025

This was a great listen. Usually I am not one for a live album, but this paired the music with a lot more energy. You feel like you are listening to something unique and iconic.

With The Beatles by Beatles
Jun 03 2025

I am not a fan of early Beatles. I could see myself giving it a second listen, but there would more likely be something else i would go with.

Foo Fighters by Foo Fighters
Jun 04 2025

A great debut from these guys. I say 'guys' but it's really just Dave. Still tinged bit with a bit of the Nirvana sound, before they went to soft (although it does have Big Me on it). Starts strong with tracks like 'This is a call' and 'I'll stick around' still one of their top albums.

Nothing's Shocking by Jane's Addiction
Jun 05 2025

Great consistency. My first time listening to them properly. Shouldn't have waited this long. Onto my want list

She's So Unusual by Cyndi Lauper
Jun 06 2025

This had it all, great instrumental breadth, energy, girl power. I love the 80s synth stuff and there is some great songwriting credentials here too. The singles are really impressive leading the album and the rest is consistent.

Led Zeppelin II by Led Zeppelin
Jun 07 2025

My favorite so far from them. Opens well with 'Whole lotta love' and 'Ramble on' is a great track later on. Lots of energy from Jimmy throughout.

Ingenue by k.d. lang
Jun 09 2025

Not my thing, but I wasn't offended by it. 'Constant Craving' is a banger and shows her talent. The album was pleasant for a car ride to work.

Hybrid Theory by Linkin Park
Jun 10 2025

You can see why this launched them onto the scene. Packet full of tracks you can't have missed even if you haven't been a massive fan (like me). 'Papercut' and 'In the End' are standouts. The other singles are quality. It would get a bit samey after a while, but it is a good samey.

Duck Rock by Malcolm McLaren
Jun 11 2025

Absolute shit

Frank by Amy Winehouse
Jun 17 2025

A great collection of songs

Doolittle by Pixies
Jun 27 2025

This is them at their best. There is a reason so many artists are influenced by this album. So many great tracks in a defining moment for 90s music
