The Hissing Of Summer Lawns
Joni MitchellNot my favorite Joni. Appreciate her exploration on this album, but the lyrics felt more disjointed than other albums. Did not enjoy the moog synth on Jungle line.

Not the Bowie for me. Moments I liked, but other stuff felt like theatrical filler. Prefer when he is on drugs.
White people love this shit. Especially barefoot white people. Donβt like the spoken rhythm lyrics.
Reminds me of being in the car with my dad. Incredible funk album. Thats the Way of the World is one of my favorites. The saxophone makes me miss playing mine.
Love all the horns. Very groovy at times, then very jazzy scatting. A big middle finger to the gov't, I can get behind it. And the guy was a polygamist, sweet.
Some solid jazz. Enjoyed some songs more than others, but pretty solid.
Nope. finishing this album should make you eligible for saint status.
Takes me back to high school. Great stuff
When I was around 15 I came upon CCR. I loved it. Political, southern classic rock, whats not to love. But then I heard my mom say "Ugh Fogerty's voice" in a very unsettling way and I was scarred. 20 years later I can safely say, Mom, I feel the same way.
Love this album. Classic top jazz album with some of the best to ever do it together.
I understand its significance, and each song on it's own is good. But albums weren't cohesive yet and the album gets tiring. Longest song is 2.5 minutes.

Impressive. But not sure the time or place of this for me. Maybe while I'm strolling the streets of a foreign country and want to feel like I am in a movie? Not sure!
I love Tom Petty's hits. But as a debut, it was a little lackluster. Love Breakdown and American Girl, but the rest was a little boring. I was gonna see Tom Petty in high school. Girl I was dating bought great tickets. Then we got in a fight and she gave me my money back. She ended up taking the other girl I was dating instead. What an American Girl.
Really enjoyed this.
I get it. Eminem had be shocking to successful. It was a time in pop culture that allowed his success. His rhyming is technically impressive, but what he is poetically illustrating is simply lame and juvenile.
Listened, but cant say I enjoyed.
There are a few songs that could be decent if they got rid of their lead singer. My god he is horrible.
Not a big 80's synth pop rock fan, but this wasnt too bad.
This album always takes me back to college. Peak indie rock days. Who doesn't love a husband and wife band. I remember people freaking out because they didn't know who Arcade Fire was when they won a Grammy. It is hard for me to pick my favorite album between Suburbs, Funeral, and Reflektor, but I've enjoyed everything Arcade Fire has released.
Went into this thinking itβs music for Vegas residencies for older white women, but was pleasantly surprised. He can rock and has such a great voice for it. I enjoy the whole album.
This is all new to me. Some parts were incredible and genius. Blues and rock and roll and psychedelic and just plain weird, but some parts were a little too weird for me. To be expected on an album from the late 60's over an hour long.
Some bangers on here, and some awful music too. Ray of light and Frozen are the quickly recognizable tracks and make you want to sing while driving. The upbeat techno was a pleasant surprise and clearly lead the way for a lot of electronic pop today. But songs like Candy Perfume Girl, Ashtangi, and Little Star almost had me turning off the album prematurely. Great singles, not a great album.
Its good. Muse reminds me of Kids Bob for Tool. I like the hits, but as an album most sounds the same. And the songs that don't sound similar, arent as good.
