A Wizard, A True Star
Todd RundgrenPsychedelic rock. First half of the album is all noise, dissonance, and weird sounds. Second half of the album is listenable.

Softer side of ska. Reggae and poodle skirt vibes
Lots of blues inspiration. Songs with catchy tunes and stories. People will be “discovering” this music as long as music exists.
Some metal. Songs to go anywhere, no beginning, middle, or end. Audio mix is not good
It’s a good album. No notes.
When you need a creature feature soundtrack, Halloween playlist, or endless amounts of kitsch.
Same drum beat for every song with some moaning in the background.
It’s like listening to every genre at the same time. If I was rating this for Maggie May then it would be different, but the rest of the album really isn’t very good.
Some interesting bass lines. Fairly well mixed. Most of the songs don’t go anywhere but the ones that do are really nice.
Overall it’s a good album. I don’t like the vocal style. It feels too monotonic for me.
Most of the songs are more like ideas of songs, very short. One mainstream song thrown in for good measure.
It’s overly cheesy country music.
Music for sad middle schoolers
Maybe this is high art. It’s barely organized enough to call music. Mostly just sounds
It’s overproduced and has a lot of electronic instruments. So, it has no excitement. Karma chameleon and victims are the exception. Not a bad album but I wish they had let loose a bit more and not cleaned up the tracks so much
Not like any other beach boys album. Very little multi-part harmonies. Pretty boring.
Probably the best selling jazz album of all time. Not a bad song on the whole thing. No overcomplicated solos, just a pleasant listen.
This woman has been through some shit. The music is good, but there’s no hope in it. Listening to the whole album really brought me down.
Very atmospheric. Probably more interesting if you speak Portuguese
I want to like it. The technical skill is great. I wish they had chosen conventional instruments or synth instruments. Having mostly classic rock sounds with one screaming synth doesn’t work for me.
Really only one interesting song. The rest was very sleepy
This must be what it’s like to be on hold in a Latin country.
Nice album. Some Tom Petty vibes along with several other 90’s alt rock.
If grunge punk is your thing then it’s probably good
It just doesn’t have the “thing” that makes music interesting. I have no problem listening to it, but I wouldn’t choose it.
It’s too artsy for me, except for 3 just silly songs that don’t fit at all. Maybe just too many drugs were happening
When they said “random albums” I didn’t expect the music to also be random.
Atmospheric, hip-hop, Indian, jazz, techno? It feels a little contrived.
Not sure I like the instrument choices. The orchestration is strange and great as always
