I had never heard of this album. The cover art alone let me know that it wasn't going to sound like the Beach Boys that I'm familiar with. The album opens with Don't Go Near The Water, which tells you to take care of the oceans. Maybe not a surprising thing for a band that built their image on California surfing. It was a little harsh to be honest. I really liked Long Promised Road. Take A Load Off Your Feet sounded like it could be a jingle for a podiatrist. Disney Girls was just kind of meh. Student Demonstration Time is good, and being from Ohio, I wasn't aware that there was another song that mentioned the Kent State shootings of 1970. Feel Flows, Lookin' At Tomorrow, A Day in the Life of a Tree, 'Til I Die and Surf's Up kind of all blended together. Told my fiance that the album sounded like the Beach Boys but they grew up and were suffering from depression.
This was an enjoyable listen. I'm not a big Coldplay fan, but I liked this album.
Not my usual genre of music, but I enjoyed it.
I love this album. Chunky bass lines, crazy drumming.

One of the very first records I ever owned was a 45 that my mom had given me of God Only Knows/Sloop John B. She had held onto it from high school. I played that record over and over. Pet Sounds is a fantastic album. RIP BW
BB King is the best
Didn't even need to listen to this one. Bought the CD when it came out. Great album.
I hadn't heard Arcade Fire before this. I really enjoyed this album!
reminds me of when i was a kid and mom's car only had an AM radio and all we could pick up was oldies rock. good album
I am a huge Metallica fan. Well, I was until this album. There are a couple of good songs: The God That Failed, Holier Than Thou are the ones I like. The rest, meh.
perfect album
I hadn't heard this before, but I really liked it.
I like newer Cure, but this album didn't do it for me
Old country is not my thing.
Nice mix of reggae and soul. Mellow album and a good listen.
