Electric Music For The Mind And Body
Country Joe & The Fish
2/5
Early psych rock that just doesn't do it for me. The only two real "standouts" (if you can call them that) are "Sad and Lonely Times" and "Love", the rest is middling and sometimes downright obnoxious to listen to.

Kid A
Radiohead
I can't really put my finger on Kid A. It has its moments ("How to Disappear Completely", "Motion Picture Soundtrack"), but I can't help but consider it a bit of a letdown having just listened to OK Computer before it, and with that album being such a marked improvement over the likes of The Bends and Pablo Honey.
Kid A might grow on me, but for now it sits "In Limbo" between like and dislike.

KIWANUKA
Michael Kiwanuka
Solid. I'm not crazy about Kiwanuka, but it's a good record, for sure. Highlights upon first listen include "Piano Joint (This Kind of Love)", "Hero", and "Hard to Say Goodbye".

A Love Supreme
John Coltrane
4,5/5
Just great stuff. Even better than Ballads, which I really, really enjoyed when I listened to it around 2 months back. "Pursuance / Psalm" kept me on the edge of my seat.

Electric Ladyland
Jimi Hendrix
I've listened to this one (many times) before.
Just amazing. Jimi's best work, for sure. "All Along the Watchtower" is one if, if not the best cover ever. Some of my other favorites include "Crosstown Traffic", "Come on (Let the Good Times Roll)", "1983...(A Merman I should Turn to Be)" and "Voodoo Child" (both versions).

Honky Tonk Heroes
Waylon Jennings
2,5/5
Definitely not an album I'd normally listen to. All in all, it's all right; there are a few cool tracks here and there ("Old Five and Dimers (Like Me)", "Black Rose", and "We Had It All"), but most of it is just ok.

Tusk
Fleetwood Mac
As of yet, I'm undecided on Tusk. It's got some great tracks, for sure ("Storms" and "Sisters of the Moon" immediately come to mind), but much of its runtime feels a bit meandering. Most likely an album I'm going to have to come back to a few times to get a real feel for it.

Five Leaves Left
Nick Drake
Very solid, but didn't truly grab me. Standouts include "River Man", "Day Is Done", "The Thoughts of Mary Jane", and "Saturday Sun".

Suede
Suede
3,5/5
Starts incredibly strong; "Animal Nitrate" is so amazing that the rest of the track list has a hard time keeping up, frankly.

Tago Mago
Can
The latter half of this album is fucking insane and I love it. The trio of "Halleluwah", "Aumgn", and "Peking O" are all I really needed to hear to give this one a high score. The preceding tracks are all right, but very much overshadowed by what follows.

Pet Sounds
The Beach Boys
3,5/5
I only heard Pet Sounds for the first time about a month ago. My first listen left me slightly underwhelmed, but it has definitely grown on me upon further listening.

Heaven Or Las Vegas
Cocteau Twins
A masterpiece β and one I've heard countless times. My favorite Cocteaus record frequently flips between HoLV and Blue Bell Knoll, but objectively... Heaven or Las Vegas is probably the clear winner.

The crown jewel of Bowie's masterpieces. Every track is breathtaking, but Subterraneans stands out to me as totally transcendent β I lose myself in it every time I listen.
