Raw Power
The StoogesA classic, not a skippable song on the record. 10/10.

I can't say I'd listen to this again, or that any track really stood out to me, although Long Promised Road is probably the highlight here. For me, the production sound was phenomenal. The songs didnt even have to do it for me, I loved the production enough that it kept me engaged.
Mah, I was never a huge fan of these guys, but Woodstock is still a banger
I've tried to "get" this record so many times. Having it play in the background while I do other things, playing it while driving, just sitting and focusing on the music as it plays, I just don't get it. It doesn't resonate with him. I understand while Miles gets the respect he does, I understand technically why this record gets the adulation it does, but I just don't feel it.
Classic Depeche Mode album for sure, and as the kids say, its a vibe. I don't know if deserves all the praise it gets, but its a solid record. Blue Dress is the only song that is glaringly bad.
I grew up with Bruce's music in the background. Cars, girls, working hard, and getting out of a small town, that's always 90% of this catalog. This is no different.
I question the inclusion of the album. Im old enough to remember the George Micheal Wham! days, and the superstar solo stuff, but this record just isn't good, let alone great.
The record 100% Summer in 1970's Brooklyn vibes. And that's not a bad thing. My 2 star rating is purely based on relistenabilty. The album is solid, front to back, but its just not my thing, but damn, this has such a strong feeling to it.
Not a fan of the Boss, but this record is full of hits. Hits that, oddly enough, I don't mind terribly.
Definitely not in my listening wheelhouse, but there's something really solid about this album. I'm not sure if it should be on the 1001 list, but that's just me.
My opinon of Jack White, whether it be solo, or with any of his bands is that its always style over substance. Thats not to say he's not talented or that he can't write a good song, because he is and he can. Its just over styled and a forced element of "cool" is i ejected in every song, if that makes sense.
I do love his lyricism, I do not love his presentation.
Over the years, I've heard of Nick Drake, but never actually heard any music, not knowingly at least. So, I'm sure what my expectations were, but the record flat out boring. There's no real dynamics to any of the songs, which actually makes it tough to get through.
My wife has been a huge MA fan for forever, so I know all this tracks pretty well. My issue with it, and trip-hop in general, is thats no real highs and lows. Its all pretty much right the middle and very samey sounding.
Folk is not really my thing and this album didn't turn me around. This tough for me to get through.
It's ok, but I've had my fill of folk and singer singer writer stuff over the past 2 weeks, so I might be a little biased.
Depeche Mode doing Depeche Mode music. It's fine, having gwon up in the 80s and 90s, this both childhood radio memories and Goth Dance Club vibes for me.
Yeah, New Wave, Post Punk Euro pop rock. I've only heard Pretty In Pink before listening to this but its pretty much same as all the othe bands of the ilk during the early 80's
This album objectively sucks. I know the history, it doesn't matter, it still sucks.
I legit have no idea anyone finds any enjoyment out of this.
Boring Radiohead and Oasis inspired 90's Britpop.
