Popular Reviews

Electric Ladyland by Jimi Hendrix

I know this is a historical masterpiece and all but necessary to make a song 15 minutes long and snort and sniff into the microphone? I think it’s way better as an album as than individual songs and is meant to be listened to like that. Overall I think it’s one of those things that I needed to listen to for historical context, but it’s not easy listening.

Hot Buttered Soul by Isaac Hayes
Aug 11 2025

Not my usual genre but loved it! My mom also said it was good. Listened twice!

The Cars by The Cars
Aug 12 2025

Banger after banger after banger. Only critique is that every song sounds kind of the same after awhile.

Hunky Dory by David Bowie
Aug 18 2025

Enjoyed every l second of this album, my favourite by far. I actually genuinely enjoyed listening to it and it didn’t feel like a chore.

The Man Machine by Kraftwerk
Aug 19 2025

This was very interesting. I’ve never listened to techno from this fallback. Really enjoyed it, and the album wasn’t too long and repetitive.

Junkyard by The Birthday Party
Aug 20 2025

This was the worst album on this list so far. I get it you’re mentally ill, but why are you barking and growling and grunting into the mic? Call me conservative but I thought music was supposed to be enjoyable? Listening to this album in full would’ve made me just as mentally ill, so this is the first album I didn’t listen to fully.

Unknown Pleasures by Joy Division
Aug 21 2025

pretty mediocre. Nothing stood out to me nor bothered me. I don’t get the hype, why is this album cover on T-shirts?

The Age Of The Understatement by The Last Shadow Puppets
Aug 22 2025

I like this. Almost every song made it onto my liked songs. If I had to criticise one thing, it would be that every song uses basically the same formula, so it’s very similar.

Blur by Blur
Aug 25 2025

Interesting what they did with Disc 2 being the live versions, I liked that. Actualy music: I only liked 2 songs (the obvious ones)

Californication by Red Hot Chili Peppers
Aug 26 2025

This was very good. Not one song sounded the same as the previous one. I also loved all the lyrics, it sounded very thoughtful and well written.
