Manly country take on regret and longing. Really enjoyed but not really my usual cup of tea.

Justified masterpiece status. Incredible piece of work.

Fantastic musicianship, particularly the drummer! I could definitely see myself revisiting this.

A classic

Catchy hooks, jangly guitars, lovely vocals and harmonies, poetic lyrics. What's not to like. Couple of overly cheesy parts in my opinion preventing the full 5.

At the time this must have been a nice contrast to the seemingly hundreds of generic messy indie pop bands in the charts. Sophisticated understated sound but a bit on the bland side for me. 3*

Always thought of this one as the closest he made to Odelay. Really fun listen and some memorable tracks that still pop into my head 20 years later.

I'm glad I listened to it. As someone else said I can definitely see the influence on Ween and Primus' weirder stuff. Hard work for a mainly pop listener and won't be rushing back.
