Gold by Ryan Adams

Eh, I'm not a fan of this kind of stuff, too slow and not enough interesting going on.

The Rising by Bruce Springsteen
Aug 17 2025

Fantastic Album, I'm not super into Bruce Springsteen but I very much enjoyed listening even though it wasn't something I'd normally enjoy!

Channel Orange by Frank Ocean
Aug 18 2025

Not for me. It was good background music, but I found the lyrics uninteresting or repetitive.

Aladdin Sane by David Bowie
Aug 19 2025

Pretty ok, some gits some misses, but has so.e REALLY interesting melodies.

xx by The xx
Aug 20 2025

Beautiful instrumentals, but the lyrics didn't speak to me so much.

This Is Fats Domino by Fats Domino
Aug 21 2025

I get why it's on the list, but not for me. I quite liked the lyrics, but it didn't keep my interest very well aside from that.

Endtroducing..... by DJ Shadow
Aug 22 2025

This isn't the type of thing I would just listen to. It didn't seem like the goal was to entertain, but rather to engage deep thought. It was very similar modern art just in musical form. It's something that's meant to be the focus of your time for sure, not just background noise.

Africa Brasil by Jorge Ben Jor
Aug 23 2025

very interesting sounds. this album incorporated lots of unique tones into its beat. In addition the rough vocals were a very good complement to the specific sound of this album. It was also especially interesting to have some variety in language. I look forward to the next non-English album on this list!

Dusty In Memphis by Dusty Springfield
Aug 24 2025

I KNOW THIS ONE! My mom used to play Dusty on long car rides, among other artists. I didn't ever learn who made the music, but I know many of these songs and they are not only very nostalgic but also groundbreaking for the time they were created. This album being from the late 60's sounds as though it was made one or even two decades later. You can see its influence in lots of early pop music!

The Libertines by The Libertines
Aug 25 2025

Absolute banger of a 2000's album. Has those soft rock vibes that are synonymous with this era of music. That said it didn't REALLY stand out to me.

Aug 26 2025

Didn't hate it, it had some good moments but it didn't seem all that interesting.

Neon Bible by Arcade Fire
Aug 27 2025

This was beautiful and peaceful and had substance to it. My favorite album so far. I'm going to put additional ratings on my 5 star albums so i can organize them better. 2/5

The Dreaming by Kate Bush
Aug 28 2025

Interesting lyrics and fantastic vocals but the music all together isn't my favorite.

Basket of Light by Pentangle
Aug 29 2025

Between the vocals and the instrumentals this is absolutely incredible. The only way I can describe it is as a rilliant dance between the two each having thier own moments to shine. 5-stars easy 3/5

Rust Never Sleeps by Neil Young & Crazy Horse
Aug 30 2025

Far too chill for a rock album as far as I'm concerned.

Dr. Octagonecologyst by Dr. Octagon
Aug 31 2025

Not sure how to feel about this one, it certainly should be considered art. However I find the choruses to be overly repetitive and uninteresting. The rest of the lyrics are very good! With that said the lyrics really are the only interesting thing going on, the beats are incredibly simplistic and I simply do not understand the appeal of record scratches. The album is at it's best when treated as a story first and music second.

Sep 01 2025

It was fine, had a very classic rock feel. I would've loved this 10 years ago. These days it's very mid to me though.

Blood On The Tracks by Bob Dylan
Sep 02 2025

Yucky. Very not for me. Something about his voice makes me absolutely hate this. The tracks themselves aren't bad but i really can't stand his voice.

Bitte Orca by Dirty Projectors
Sep 03 2025

Pretty good. The singing is very unique to hear although it sounds rather simple and I quite like that quality. The lyrics are good and the backing for the tracks are both peaceful and enjoyable. Unfortunately no one element stands out particularly well.

Now I Got Worry by The Jon Spencer Blues Explosion
Sep 04 2025

Reminds me of Elvis, but with a more rock type vibe. The songs were hit and miss and some were very short. THERE WERE SO MANY SONGS.

The Downward Spiral by Nine Inch Nails
Sep 05 2025

This was a really good album, it opened strong and ended strong but a couple songs in the middle missed me. Regardless it was definitely deserving of 5 stars and if all the songs hit as good as the best ones it definitely would've been even higher in my personal ratings. 3/5

Blunderbuss by Jack White
Sep 06 2025

It was ok. the songs were cool the genre was good. That's all I have to say though.

Moving Pictures by Rush
Sep 07 2025

Short and sweet. Limelight was definitely the best song on the album. Despite it's short duration it jad a lot of variety.

Honky Tonk Heroes by Waylon Jennings
Sep 08 2025

For country it's ok. Not my favorite, but I enjoyed listening.

Ramones by Ramones
Sep 09 2025

They have quite the interesting sound. It's reminiscent of many other artists but I can't quite place what they sound like. Very good and surprisingly unique.

Triangle by The Beau Brummels
Sep 10 2025

It wasn't bad, but I didn't enjoy it.

Sep 13 2025

Very nice and chill, perfect to throw on in the background. Still wasn't for me though.

The Healer by John Lee Hooker
Sep 14 2025

I didn't think at first that this would be something I liked, but it was absolutely perfect.

The Suburbs by Arcade Fire
Sep 16 2025

Very good, but not quite as good as Neon Bible in my opinion. 1/5

Lust For Life by Iggy Pop
Sep 17 2025

This was a good time! I very much enjoyed it and recommend it! One of my favorites from this era of music.

Gold by Ryan Adams
Sep 18 2025

Eh, I'm not a fan of this kind of stuff, too slow and not enough interesting going on.

The Gershwin Songbook by Ella Fitzgerald
Sep 19 2025

Despite the slowness of the music I find myself hanging on every word. It's the perfect kind of thing to put on in the background but also would be lovely to have seen live.

Zombie by Fela Kuti
Sep 21 2025

Has a very boppy feel. I had a good time with this one. But it's not something I usually like.

The Velvet Underground & Nico by The Velvet Underground
Sep 23 2025

A lot of this sounded like it had jazzy inspiration, other parts sounded like they were more classic rock. I really couldn't put my finger on a lot of it. Though I can certainly say every song sounded like it was made by a different artist, which is a talent that I have not seen in many artists. All in all, despite my not really loving this album the artists behind it were truly gifted.

Layla And Other Assorted Love Songs by Derek & The Dominos
Sep 24 2025

Decent classic rock, much sounds the same, especially the guitar and bass lines sound very similar between songs.

So Much For The City by The Thrills
Sep 25 2025

Very classic for a 2003 album. While the lyrics are repetitive I found them profound in meaning, so I suppose I can forgive the repetition.

Liege And Lief by Fairport Convention
Sep 26 2025

Beautiful vocals for the folk genre. and brilliant stories told within the lyrics.

Sep 27 2025

I was pleasantly surprised by this one. I know I comment on repetitiveness a lot and I definitely want to dock this one for that, but it somehow manages to remain interesting. I also happened to recognize some songs that I haven't heard since I was a kid on this album. Fun experience!

Frampton Comes Alive by Peter Frampton
Sep 28 2025

Good vocals, and lyrics. Not for me, a little too slow.
