You can really hear how new stereo was on this album. Lots of aggressive panning. I did know how much musical DNA Queen shares with led Zeppelin until now.
Listened to this one a million times before. I don't like it as much as some of radiohead's later stuff but it's undeniable how good some of the tracks are. Also, a rare use of sleigh bells in a song that isn't a Christmas song.
I love Black Sabbath, but most of their songs kind of run together for me. This album has a couple huge tracks in it, including Changes and Snowblind, that are distinct from a lot of their other work, but much of the album is forgettable even though I love Sabbath.
Today I learned just how long the full version of in a gadda da vida really is. It's "so much acid I forgot where I was" long.
