Popular Reviews

Astral Weeks by Van Morrison

I really like it when he’s not shouting like a drunk old man. Unfortunately he does that quite a lot. The instrumentals are beautiful

Thriller by Michael Jackson
Oct 27 2025

One of the greatest albums from one of the greatest artists of all time. Starting off very strong, hard to top this one

Document by R.E.M.
Oct 28 2025

All the songs sound the same to me. I think the songwriting sucks too, they repeat themselves constantly. Don’t think the lead singer has a nice voice. Some of the instrumental parts are cool but doesn’t make up for the rest of it being pretty lacklustre. Wasn’t a very enjoyable experience overall

Elvis Presley by Elvis Presley
Oct 29 2025

“Those blacks do make some good music… let’s steal it”. The guy does have a very captivating voice though, gotta give him that

Aja by Steely Dan
Oct 30 2025

Loved it! I’d heard of steely Dan before but could never tell you one of their songs. Was expecting more of a rock album for some reason. Recognised the MF DOOM sample from operation doomsday straight off the bat, knew I would like it once hearing that. Obviously recognised peg too, that’s a great song. Love this genre especially from this era, could listen to it all day. Was bopping along to every song. Will definitely listen again and will explore more of their music too.

The Specials by The Specials
Oct 31 2025

Reminds me of being a kid, enjoyed it

Figure 8 by Elliott Smith
Nov 03 2025

Meh.

Illinois by Sufjan Stevens
Nov 04 2025

I thought I’d dislike it more than I did. Know idea what the fuck he’s talking about half the time but the production made it listenable. Sounds like a musical

KE*A*H** (Psalm 69) by Ministry
Nov 05 2025

This is the album satan puts on to get his army of demons hyped up for an attack on heaven. Sounds pretty cool but makes for an awful listen.

This Year's Model by Elvis Costello & The Attractions
Nov 06 2025

My god his voice is annoying

Snivilisation by Orbital
Nov 07 2025

Was hoping I would like it more as I do generally like this genre, but it left a lot to be desired to be honest

Ellington at Newport by Duke Ellington
Nov 11 2025

Just about steals a 4 from me. Drags a bit at times but I do quite like jazz. Can imagine it was amazing to see live

Lust For Life by Iggy Pop
Nov 12 2025

Feel like I’m listening to super hans. Not bad but not my cup of tea

Shalimar by Rahul Dev Burman
Nov 13 2025

Don’t judge a book by its cover. I actually really enjoyed this lol

Come Away With Me by Norah Jones
Nov 17 2025

Pleasant listen, not really my thing though. Probably won’t listen again

British Steel by Judas Priest
Nov 18 2025

Didn’t mind it tbh. Got a bit bored towards the end as it all started to sound very similar but was bopping my head to most of the songs

The Bends by Radiohead
Nov 19 2025

Not really the biggest fan of Radiohead, don’t quite get the hype to be honest. Some songs are okay but all a bit bland imo

Nov 20 2025

I love albums that try to take you on a journey and this definitely does that. I love when artists put effort into clean transitions between songs too, it heightens the whole feel of the album. It’s weird but I guess that’s kind of the point. Critically acclaimed for a reason

Stankonia by OutKast
Nov 21 2025

I fucking love this album. OutKast have never missed, not once. If you don’t rate this a 5 then I hate you and we’re not friends

Bad by Michael Jackson
Nov 24 2025

Anything by MJ is gonna be great but this one isn’t quite up there with off the wall or thriller for me

The Hangman's Beautiful Daughter by The Incredible String Band
Nov 27 2025

I feel like I’m tied to a post hanging over a fire whilst they dance around in circles singing these songs in their weird cult. There’s a lot of weird hippy shit on this list and I am not a fan of it at all

Fever To Tell by Yeah Yeah Yeahs
Nov 28 2025

Just about steals a two as the instrumentals aren’t horrendous but my god the singing is so grating

xx by The xx
Dec 01 2025
Pretenders by Pretenders
Dec 03 2025

I don’t mind it but I’m just so bored of listening to rock albums from the 70s and 80s. Could the guy who made this list not have branched out a bit more?

Astral Weeks by Van Morrison
Dec 04 2025

I really like it when he’s not shouting like a drunk old man. Unfortunately he does that quite a lot. The instrumentals are beautiful

Arise by Sepultura
Dec 05 2025

I always like these albums for the first couple songs, then I just get so bored of it and my head starts to hurt. Little something called variety never hurt anyone but I guess that’s besides the point for artists like this

Revolver by Beatles
Dec 09 2025

I get why they were so popular in the 60s. I don’t get why we still need to listen to them now

Dec 12 2025

Unreal album, pioneer for females in hip hop which we love to see. Is a little fluffy though, could cut it down a little bit. Doesn’t quite cut a 5 for me but I’m not mad if you do give it to this
