The forced quality of his voice almost makes it hard to miss the sweetness of these songs. Was pleasantly surprised to hear Tomorrow Is a Long Time

It's Blitz! by Yeah Yeah Yeahs
Nov 01 2025

Some major dance classics, I'll always love you twee. Honestly had major personal preference for the acoustic versions

Parachutes by Coldplay
Nov 02 2025

You can't always make catchy songs and good songs, I think Coldplay makes both. Not something I would usually listen to, but Sparks is an undeniably great song.

Stankonia by OutKast
Nov 03 2025

Really impressed by the structure of this album. Interludes are one of my favorite characteristics of rap albums. Most music made in 2000 can be easily dated, I think Stankonia defies that beautifully

Siembra by Willie Colón & Rubén Blades
Nov 04 2025

Truly joyous, wish I knew what they were saying. Anything with this great of a brass section will keep me coming back forever

Talking Heads 77 by Talking Heads
Nov 05 2025

In the context of 1977, I can see how this debut was revolutionary. Nowadays it's definitely less impressive. I love talking heads I don't care

Hard Again by Muddy Waters
Nov 06 2025

Classic blues, what's not to like

Fleet Foxes by Fleet Foxes
Nov 07 2025

I loved this album in highschool so I have a pretty soft spot for it. I think it felt very exciting in the time it came out, but I also think it has kept itself pretty firmly dated. I enjoy this album most when it uses negative space, I think Oliver James rocks

Nov 10 2025

It's honestly incredible how long I managed to avoid this album considering the recent surge in oasis hype. I'm not really sure what I was expecting, maybe something gentler? Wasn't necessarily pleased to find this pouty, noisy boyfest. Consider your yum yucked

Nov 11 2025

I found this album to be generally sweet, genuine and maybe a little boring. I'm not necessarily interested male vocalists of this variety. I think it's biggest strength is that instrumental track and it's biggest sin is corny, could be worse.

Blackstar by David Bowie
Nov 12 2025

If there is a time that calls for self-indulgence, it's when you are one of the most famous musicians of all time and you are about to die. I thought this album was genuinely beautiful. Lazarus and I Can't Give Everything Away are just plain good songs. Maybe not the most revolutionary piece of music, but an album that did speak to me.

Nov 13 2025

Too big for its prog rock boots in my humble opinion. I think there's a good chance my gen z proclivities are preventing me from taking this as seriously as it seems to require. There are some spots that I really enjoyed, and some spots I couldn't really stand

...Baby One More Time by Britney Spears
Nov 14 2025

After reading the other ratings I've realized that some people just hate having fun. Is this the most 1999 album to possibly exist? Absolutely. Does it still just kind of rock? Duh! I love girls, I love Britney, 4 stars I don't care I don't care

Deja Vu by Crosby, Stills, Nash & Young
Nov 17 2025

I don't know.....I like these songwriters individually but it's still shocking to me that Neil young would do this cheesy harmony stuff. Our House is iconic, but I can't say I like much else

Let It Bleed by The Rolling Stones
Nov 18 2025

Preferred this to my listening experience with Some Girls, which isn't saying much. Rolling Stones they will never make me like you and your honky tonk stylings

En-Tact by The Shamen
Nov 19 2025

I like to dance, I like this fine

1999 by Prince
Nov 21 2025

So so so close to giving this a 5. I love to dance, I love prince, some songs were soooooo dated which makes it hard to go higher than 4

Off The Wall by Michael Jackson
Nov 24 2025

What a way to start my morning. I love disco, ballads are hard for me

NEU! 75 by Neu!
Nov 28 2025

I don't know you guys....I love to dance

Highway 61 Revisited by Bob Dylan
Dec 02 2025

I love my mom! Everyone hates to see a Bob Dylan girl coming but here I am. 3 of these stars are for these songs actually ripping, 2 are purely nostalgia. I'm a sentimental woman I just can't help it. I've been turning tf up to Like A Rolling Stone for most of my life and I don't plan on stopping anytime soon. In terms of performance, Bob is his typical loosey goosey self. I understand how his vocal stylings can be grating, but this is, unfortunately, him at his vocal prime. It is undeniable that Dylan is a prolific songwriter whose music speaks to many, and I think there is very little logic to who enjoys him and who doesn't. Personally, I can't help but get rowdy when I hear that stupid whistle at the beginning of Highway 61

L.A. Woman by The Doors
Dec 03 2025

Not charmed by this album. As a lyrics listener, the vocals are unbearably muffled and I'm not impressed when I can hear the words. Overall I was very very bored and unconvinced by the blues of these lazy guys.

Immigrés by Youssou N'Dour
Dec 04 2025

I love it! I don't listen to very much music not in English on my own but I've loved all the international albums on this list so far. Very awesome to me

Dec 05 2025

Once again, I don't love a ballad but I really like the singer. I also find the instrumentation to be very dated and dated in an era I have a hard time with so I think I would enjoy different people covering these songs better? Idk maybe I'm way off. Major kudos to the woman who can successfully cover Prince.

Jazz Samba by Stan Getz
Dec 08 2025

I mean hell yeah

From Elvis In Memphis by Elvis Presley
Dec 10 2025

I wish they didn't make me like this nasty bastard. Suspicious minds rocks, and if you're gonna wrongly accuse someone of cheating you might as well say they're wearin that loved on look

Dec 15 2025

Oh Bobby, obviously has some of my faves and also some of his worst. Whatever.
