1001 Albums Summary

Quirky winds of sound carried the lwhimsical, childlike lyrics into musical fantasies that revisited nursery rhymes of yesteryear. I couldn't help questioning with Brian was thinking as he was creating this album. It seemed like he was going back to an easy time in his life, what time is it simple backdrops and easy fantasies. This is certainly not your typical pop music.

It wasn't exactly what I expected.I will come back to it because it is an interesting album , but surprising coming from the man who wrote Loser. This is a folk album combines beautiful melodies with soft instrumentals. I will try to come back and update my reviews.Once I have had a chance to listen more carefully to the lyrics.

I don't listen to part of it but I have trouble listening to artists who do a lot of talking before during the song

Interesting folk music but not my favorite. I heard some banjo in there.As well as maybe acoustic guitars.

This is definitely not the trip hop version of Portishead. This albums, songs screech, clank with percussion metal on metal, and howl. Are these synthesized sounds? Are they homemade instruments? It is the unfamiliar and unusual that make this album , a thing of interest. Please sounds tends to overshadow the vocals, which at times a luxurious soprano.

I had never heard this album , but It might become one of my favorites.

Pleasant pop album but very ordinary.

This is such a fun album.

Great harmonies. The album does sound dated though.
