Bad by Michael Jackson
Nov 06 2025

I don't listen to MJ much, but I enjoyed the throwback more than I expected. Definitely a different style of music to what's made these days, but with some absolute classics. The album wasn't as long as I thought either. That said, wouldn't be my favourite overall and is a middle of the road for me.

Sunday At The Village Vanguard by Bill Evans Trio
Nov 07 2025

Listened in work, and really enjoyed the sound, in the background.Sets you back into a fancy American style lounge, or speakeasy atmosphere. Or a wet Sunday morning coffee vibe. Being live adds another element for me and is just more engaging. An unexpected enjoyable one for me. Although the repeating of certain takes of similar sounds makes it hard to track if it's a new long at times.

Neon Bible by Arcade Fire
Nov 10 2025

Not too bad, but just not for me. The songs at the end were more enjoyable than the others. I know the band name from something else, but I don't remember any songs specifically, and never heard this album before. Wouldn't encourage me to continue listening.

Electric Ladyland by Jimi Hendrix
Nov 11 2025

Liked the sound transitioning from side to side in headphones as a technique. Voodoo Chile is a choooon with the guitar 🎸, come on let the good times roll is just a belter, and all along the watchtower also a standout for me. Great album, but I just don't listen to Hendrix regularly. Definitely saving for a future listen.

Private Dancer by Tina Turner
Nov 12 2025

Good in it's time I'm sure, but just not for me

Bitches Brew by Miles Davis
Nov 13 2025

All the songs sounded the same, and too long for each one. First one I'd say I didn't enjoy

Deep Purple In Rock by Deep Purple
Nov 14 2025

Felt like I was in an action movie with all the gitaur solos. Enjoy a bit of Rock occasionally but was a bit head melting at times.

Low by David Bowie
Nov 17 2025

Very different to his mean stream things, listening in the car mostly. More instrumentals than I expected, and didn't enjoy it that much. I think he has better albums.

Bookends by Simon & Garfunkel
Nov 18 2025

Enjoy certain aspects and not others, middle of the road, short and sweet as they say.

Nov 21 2025

Enjoyed it a lot, good vibes and recognised a few of the songs from my FIFA days.

Buena Vista Social Club by Buena Vista Social Club
Nov 24 2025

Chill viby mix for perhaps a Sunday morning playlist.

Reggatta De Blanc by The Police
Nov 25 2025

Enjoyed message in a bottle and walking on the moon, some good songs in there, but didn't know too many

Kilimanjaro by The Teardrop Explodes
Nov 26 2025

Start wasn't too bad but they started getting strange towards the end, yer man was ravaging the crown at the end and all live.

Truth by Jeff Beck
Nov 27 2025

Some of the nicer rock to listen to, but not particularly memorable. Side note, Rock my plimsole sounds like the theme tune music if farming simulator, gets a star for that

Urban Hymns by The Verve
Nov 28 2025

Enjoyed it particularly with the opening tune. Started well and dropped off as we went.

At Mister Kelly's by Sarah Vaughan
Dec 01 2025

The ladies voice is incredible, the show style speakeasy vibe is very cool being live. One of the tunes they played off a mistake on stage that you don't often hear on recorded material, which added to the engagement. Enjoyed it, probably play on a rainy Sunday morning having coffee.

Is This It by The Strokes
Dec 02 2025

Enjoyes a d recognised maybe 1 tune, and the rest were mostly a blur. It ain't it

Thriller by Michael Jackson
Dec 03 2025

Enjoyed a few that I hadn't heard in a long time, but again not the biggest MJ fan

Fear and Whiskey by Mekons
Dec 05 2025

I could be an artist based on this album

Dec 09 2025

Enjoyed it a lot, Kids, Time to Pretend, Electric Feel, just all round great tunes. Didn't know them all and the vibe changes a bit but still enjoyed

Leftism by Leftfield
Dec 11 2025

Very vibey but wouldn't be a usual listen for me. Kinda neither here nor there.

Maxinquaye by Tricky
Dec 12 2025

Viby, some interesting tunes to say the least, enjoyed some and not others as much

Born To Run by Bruce Springsteen
Dec 16 2025

Enjoyed it
