Hail To the Thief by Radiohead
Jan 04 2026

I can see the appeal of this album (and Radiohead) -- the soundscape is vibrant and emotional. I just can't get into the tracks. There aren't really any songs I enjoyed, even if the album as a whole wasn't bad.

Jan 07 2026

Great album, my first 5/5. I've always disliked SBH so I was not very hopeful but I ended liking just about every other song on the album

Machine Head by Deep Purple
Jan 09 2026

Feels about as hard as hard rock can get before it becomes metal. Dig the sci-fi stuff

Chris by Christine and the Queens
Jan 11 2026

I can see the appeal to the sound, but not enough tracks grabbed me. Embarrassingly, I got 3 tracks through disc 2 before I realized it was in French.

Legalize It by Peter Tosh
Jan 14 2026

Would have beena 4 but that last song.

Let It Bleed by The Rolling Stones
Jan 18 2026

Oh so the Rolling Stonws are actually good. Who knew? I dig the strong blues influences, the guitar riffs are sick, and Midnight Rambler is a killer track

Disintegration by The Cure
Jan 20 2026

Disappointing album. I always enjoyed the music at the beginning of each track, but it would outstanding it's welcome and the vocals never dit it for me. Probably 1.5.

...And Justice For All by Metallica
Jan 21 2026

Riff to riff I enjoyed this music but it just rarely coalesced into tracks I liked. The cool moments go on for too long and get stale, even if they were cool to start with.

Physical Graffiti by Led Zeppelin
Jan 22 2026

I've always heard Greta Van Fleet is just crappy Led Zeppelin. Listening to this album had me excited hear an improved execution of that sound. Having finished the album, this comparison seems exaggerated -- that is to say, I don't find Led Zeppelin all that much better at all.

Sunday At The Village Vanguard by Bill Evans Trio
Jan 23 2026

Im discovering morning jazz is the way to go. Enjoyed what I heard but I feel like I don't quite have th ear to appreciate what I'm hearing -- all the songs sound kinda the same. Nonetheless enjoyable step on my jazz journey l (the big JJ)

Moon Safari by Air
Jan 24 2026

This album has elements i lovr in 2010s electronic, wild that it's all here in the 90s

Want One by Rufus Wainwright
Jan 25 2026

Absolutely stunning theatrical pop. Love the vocals, the music, the builds. Great album cover. What's not to like?

GI by Germs
Jan 28 2026
Blood And Chocolate by Elvis Costello & The Attractions
Jan 29 2026

Good rock-and-roll sounds. Strong beginning and end, but a very weak middle that I didn't care for.

Back In Black by AC/DC
Jan 30 2026

I've never been a big ACDC guy. Not the band I would check out when listening to older rock. Gotta say, I was impressed. Its not particularly interesting hard rock, but it is very catchy, very hard, rock. Although damn, maybe cut it with the songs about banging.

In Utero by Nirvana
Jan 31 2026

Simply amazing. It took everything I loved from Nevermind and just notched up the song writing. Im going to dive deep into this one

Scissor Sisters by Scissor Sisters
Feb 01 2026

It feels like a bunch of SF Bay queens morning the hayday of Castro Street but refusing to stop the party

Feb 02 2026

I like this more that the Morrisey solo project even though the connection is clears. Certain tracks seem to predict the solo sound, but there is so much more variety here that makes the whole album a lot more listenable.

Doggystyle by Snoop Dogg
Feb 03 2026

Love the personality, the flow, the story telling. Great skits and chill bests. But damn, this thing is nothing but misogyny

Actually by Pet Shop Boys
Feb 06 2026

The album had interesting sounds but i feel like the tracks were too repetitive. I feel like I "got" the loop long before they finished it up

Red Dirt Girl by Emmylou Harris
Feb 08 2026

Good vibes but found myself somewhat bored

Eliminator by ZZ Top
Feb 09 2026

Fun rock with a loyal of personality and willingness to let the guitars ride. Has just as much sex as ACDC, but I feel like they at least think women are people

Feb 11 2026

The one emotion I'm feeling after my listen of this record is outraged -- but thats obviously the intent, so I guess the album succeeded. It'll take more listens for me to decide if I'm transfixed or offended, but im definitely awestruck. This thing feels momentual even a quarter-century later
