1001 Albums Summary

It was alright, nothing that really stood out, a couple nice songs but overall rather memorable necessarily that makes me want to listen again

Aside from My Generation there was no standout songs. It felt very much like listening to a debut album from any generic band in the 60s. The drumming was incredible on a few tracks though

Felt like a 3, it was good, and there were some really great songs, but overall I don’t think there was much that would have me returning to this album a year from now. I went into this album expecting to like it more than I did. I much prefer some of his other work.

A few absolute classics on this album, a little too bloated to be 5 stars, but an easy 4. Most of what needs to be said has been mentioned on other reviews, but to be able to create something so fresh for the time with only 2 band members will always be the legacy of this album and the white stripes in general
