Funeral by Arcade Fire

The first time i listened to this it was a slog to get through to be honest, however this time it did hit differently. I owe this to me being in a very different mindset then i was in when i first listened, it spoke to me a bit more, even got me a little emotional. I don’t thin this is one i’ll revisit in it’s entirety again but theres definitely one or two songs that did something for me.

Highway to Hell by AC/DC

I really wish i was more into heavy rock i’d feel a lot cooler but unfortunately i’m not wired that way, i can appreciate this is a good album but just not an album for me:(

Ramones by Ramones

Despite how short the songs were i found this one hard to get through due to how repetitive it was, also just couldnt make out a single word of what they were saying in any of the songs apart from ay oh lets go, Not one for me unfortunately.

The College Dropout by Kanye West

Petition to make albums fun again!!! I don’t listen to albums in their full entirety very often but this is one i keep returning to after listening to all the way for the first time a few weeks ago. Also as the owner of a completely useless degree it really does speak to me. I love all the skits inbetween the songs, sometimes i dont loooove skits in albums i just want to listen to the music but its just works here. Say what you want about Kanye but the guy knows how to make a great album.

Different Class by Pulp
Jan 24 2026

Couple songs in here to bob your head to but nothing show-stopping in my opinion

Purple Rain by Prince
Jan 25 2026

“Hey, i aint go no money” says the multimillionaire

Pelican West by Haircut 100
Jan 26 2026

Britpop they can never make me hate you, WAY too fucking long though, idk if i was listening to a deluxe version or something but it just kept going until all the songs just sounded the same. Looooove the kind of jazzy influences tho, feel like it makes it stand out more than the typical ‘britpop’ music.

Seen some other people say its boring so really hoped i could break the mould and be one of the many people leaving 5 star reviews, but regrettably, i did find this boring, i enjoy mopey music but i fear this isn’t my type of mopey music. Never knew they were the everybody hurts people tho so 2/5

Lam Toro by Baaba Maal
Jan 28 2026

Im partial to a foreign language album as long as it has something i can mildly shake my ass too or atleast somewhat boogie to, and this fit the criteria so 3/5.

The Boatman's Call by Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds
Jan 29 2026

Monotonous, a suggested song come ok after and i thought FINALLY a good song but nope it was a completely different artist.

Juju by Siouxsie And The Banshees

I just know the moshpit for Monitor would go crazy

Surfer Rosa by Pixies
Feb 24 2026

Honestly this was almost a DNF, despite how short the album is. I work as a call handler and listen to music inbetween calls, its common that i’ll put off calling a client to get to the end of a good song, with this album i found i was calling out more frequent than normal just for a break from the noise. I feel like this album had the elements of a good album. I like how experimental it is however unfortunately not all experiments work out in life, this album is proof. One thing I will say is that you can definitely hear the influence that this album has had on music thats come after it, and for that I applaud it.

Revolver by Beatles
Feb 25 2026

A short experimental album that actually feels short and the fun type of experiment unlike Surfer Rosa by the Pixies which dragged and felt like an experiment gone wrong. That being said its not my favourite Beatles album but still an excellent all rounder in my opinion. The first three songs, Taxman, Eleanor Rigby and I’m Only Sleeping have been long time favourites so it was a nice introduction to the album and songs like Yellow Submarine and And Your Bird Can Sing brought back the energy whenever it I felt my interest start to wane. All in all, a pretty great album.

Phrenology by The Roots
Feb 26 2026

Loved how smoothly this album flowed, all the songs transitioned into each other so seamlessly. I was ready for another typical hip hip/ rap album which i’d be okay with because i enjoy the genre anyway but my expectations was fully exceeded. I was taken off guard by !!!!!! And then mellowed back down by sacrifice and then brought back up again by Pussy Galore. That all being said I think the track Water brings this down to a 4/5 as I found it dragged on (deffo could have done with being 5 mins shorter in my opinion) but overall a solid album that flowed well… like a water…!

Gold by Ryan Adams
Feb 27 2026

Too long, but surprisingly didnt hate as much as i thought i would, didn’t like it either though.

Eliminator by ZZ Top
Feb 28 2026

Hey didn’t rock my shit but deffo notice an unconscious head bop here and there

Kind Of Blue by Miles Davis
Mar 01 2026

I wish I had a more musical ear and was able to appreciate the nuances of this type of jazz so I could wax poetically about this, but I have nothing deep or profound to say about it unfortunately. It’s good, its nice to have in the background, very calming. Pop off king I guess!

Bad by Michael Jackson

Hee hee 🕺🏻

Debut by Björk
Mar 03 2026

I don’t get Björk, but I don’t think Björk needs me to get her.

American Pie by Don McLean
Mar 05 2026

I’m probably quite generous with giving this (and many other albums i’ve rated) a 4/5 because i doubt i’ll ever re-listen all the way through but its mellow and enjoyable, have no qualms or gripes with it, its just nice good clean fun.

Mar 07 2026

Not sure if i finished this album but don’t care, not gonna keep putting myself through this unnecessary torture

Birth Of The Cool by Miles Davis
Mar 08 2026

Wonder if Miles Davis knew his music would be using as background for setting up personal injury claims 🤔

Mar 14 2026

Despite how long this album is, the only song that felt like a bit of a slog to get through was the very last one, other than that this album was a joy to listen to. I’ve always loved Andre 3000, especially when he features on other peoples song but strangely enough I found myself really enjoying Big Boi’s half of the album, potentially even more… but they have two very distinct vibes i feel and I like that you can treat them as two separate albums however they still feel connected somehow.

You can really hear how the influence this album had on future music but the album itself didn’t rock my world tbh

Elvis Is Back by Elvis Presley
May 27 2026

This guy gives me the ick.

Nevermind by Nirvana
May 28 2026

Took me a few try’s to finish this one, had hoped i’d like it more as i do like the more mainstream singles from the album however this was not for me, also the last song made me irrationally angry it took alot of willpower not to turn it off

Are You Experienced by Jimi Hendrix
Jun 05 2026

Really want to enjoy this more than me even gave it several listens to see if my opinion but unfortunately it just didnt hit for me
