almost every song in this album started off really strong. however after about 1-2 minutes of really good vocals and instrumentals, it felt like jimi forgot he was recording a song and started his own jam session… I think he got a little too lost in his music which of course is a good thing, i just dont feel the need to listen to 75 min of jamming. If the songs were cut shorter or they stayed on track, the album would have been great. however i felt like most songs ended up loosing their melody and in the end, all sounded the same. It dragged on for me. Jimi is such good guitarist and vocalist so i really wanted to love this album but it wasnt my fav

first time fully listening to Elton John (besides his hits) and the first half of the album was INSANE. felt like I was floating. I genuinely was so immersed in the music. however, the second half fell off a little bit. it was more monotonous and repetitive! still not bad songs just a little forgettable and definitely cant compare to the first half!
9/10 but I rounded down bc of second half not being quite as good
honestly quite good! i do love jazz music however i wish there was a version of this album that wasn't recorded live. that being said, definitely one of the better live recordings ive heard, with quite clear vocals and instrumentals. would love to hear this live in a jazz bar with my friends. most likely wont listen to this album start to finish again, but definitely added a few of the songs to my jazz playlist.
6/10
good!! I dont think ive actually listened to salsa music on my own so I didnt fully know what to expect. every song in the album was different enough from each other to make the entire album enjoyable. made me want to dance and drink a cocktail. all this considered, there are other genres I prefer so I most likely wont listen to the entire album again

I honestly felt like I couldn't process this album fast enough. obviously I had listened to starman before hearing this album fully and to be honest I was kind of expecting the entire album to be that good. To be honest it wasn't, and I had unfairly set too high of expectations for them to be! this album obviously had a big impact on the music industry as a whole, which I am really grateful for. the music in this album was, in looking for the best term, quite experimental feeling at times. On the bright side i think 40 min is the perfect length for an album, and none of the songs felt like they dragged on or were too long, so I am super appreciative of that! I honestly thought I was going to enjoy this album more than I did, and am quite disappointed that im not giving it 5 stars. im sure seeing bowie perform this album live would have been an out of this world experience and the show would have been insane. Starman is a banger but the rest of the songs were ok!
7/10 but I rounded down because it felt very experimental
Heard the first two songs and wanted to stop listening immediately. Almost gave up and turned the album off. Quite glad i powered through those and didnt stop, because the rest of it ended up being much better! Sounded like a group of guys in their own garage band at times… also there were waaaaayyy too many songs on this album, 22 is insane!!!
5/10 but I rounded and idk why
The string instrumentals were beautiful and felt quite theatrical at times. I feel like its consistently building up to something, however it never ends up as powerful as you feel like its going to get. i loved the singers voice and thought it blended so well with the guitar. His voice has a very raw and intimate sound to it. The songs arent very aggressive but they get you going. Fav song was rebellion (lies)!! Perfect length for an album.
7/10
Nothing super exciting in this album. I listened to this as background music and if i ever come back to it, that's what it will be used for. Not a very memorable album, most of the songs sounded the same, but i liked them. Felt like an extremely mediocre version of the beatles. I don't really get the hate for this album, it's not amazing but i didnt think it was bad! However, nothing set this album apart from other emerging bands at the time.
6/10
I absolutely love adeles voice. Its so smooth and freaking delicious. I know people complain about her not experimenting much with instrumentals etc but i love the focus on her voice because it truly is the star! Forgot how much I actually like her music. Yes a lot of the songs are similar sounding but i could listen to her voice all day. wow.
8/10
ZOO WEE MAMA! amazing flow between songs with really good layering of sound that never felt too dense. i felt like i was walking in a big city while listening to this. wasn't a big fan of the skits, so next time i listen to this album ill just skip those parts! Such good classics in here. Wish i had discovered more of the fugees songs earlier. lauryn hill is quite obviously the main one in the group yet im not complaining since she's so talented. very soulful and had a nineties street feel. Loved the atmosphere, the songs genuinely felt cinematic. Every song was a banger except for the covers. Such good writing. No wonder this group is considered one of the most influential in hip hop. The album was definitely made to be listened to as a whole.
9/10 only rounded down bc of skits and covers
way too long. with 40 songs on the album, once you've heard about 15 (which is more than the average album) you're tired of listening and dreading the fact you still have 25 to go. some songs were really good but the others were just ok.
6/10
honestly kinda cool. liked this more than I thought I would. very floaty feeling. good as background music for studying
6/10
felt like I was in a rave for nerds im pretty sure they started chanting nerd nerd nerd nerd during one of the songs
5/10
would have liked this album much more if the lyrics weren't so offensive. many songs in this album made me feel sick to my stomach. ignoring all the lyrics, the instrumentals and beat was good, but because of how offensive this is, I cant give it higher than a 2.
3/10
I know people hate on this album because it's very similar sounding but I loved it all. I appreciate each of the songs more on their own since when you listen to it as a full album they kinda blend together. Lanas voice is stunning. this album was very angelic.
7/10
not my favorite. could not take this seriously. sounded very video gamey/UFO takeovery. I liked the the songs the sage, the great gates of Kiev, and nutcracker, but if they weren't in it, I would've given the album a 1 star. peculiar to say the least!
3/10
I love music that makes me feel and this album did just that! very soul vibe. evokes human emotion so well.
9/10
rated high for a reason. iconic album for a reason. all the songs are bangers.
9/10
didnt think id like this as much as I did. it feels like having a picnic with your friends listening to this live and dancing in a grassy field while wearing flow skirts. so yeah
7/10
typical rock band stuff. good but not very special or unique. I liked the songs but dont know how much of an influence they had on the music industry
6/10
it just droned on for me. I probably tuned a bit of it out
5/10
I didnt feel country vibes from this. very soulful. I love soul music!!!!
8/10
7/10 but I rounded down because the songs started sounding pretty similar after a while
layering of vocals and instrumentals was really cool. very significant album in the music industry.
8/10
overall this album was actually good. was skeptical at first, but liked it more and more as the album went on. definitely will listen to this again while doing yoga or homework
6/10
this album reminds me of my mom soooo much... therefore I cant rate it too low! I definitely enjoyed this album more than it deserves. I will feel no shame for enjoying Britneys music!! im normally not a big fan of songs that are just girls fawning over guys but it was fun to listen and sing along to
7/10
the artists sound like they're having a lot of fun playing and producing this album which makes it fun to listen to. I liked that the songs sampled well known beats from other songs into them. since the album was long, the little skits broke up and separated the album in a good way. had a hippie vibe.
6/10
everyone take a bow for the queen cyndi lauper. this is how you do 80s pop.
9/10
This is pure folk music. She has a very clean voice and the simplicity of the music is really pretty. The guitar instrumentals enhance her voice so well. Very calming music. Not sure why so many songs were about historical figures. Gets pretty samey after a while though.
