1001 Albums Summary

Very pleasant listen, not exactly something I see myself coming back to often but I enjoyed my time and “Waiting in Vain” is a banger.

I mean, the theme alone is worth the price of admission, and maybe it’s just having seen the movie, but I can’t think of many scores that feel more of a place than where the film is set than this one, great stuff.

You know an album is good when "Planet Caravan" might be the weakest track of the bunch, just an iconic record from start to finish.

What a surprise, one I'd never heard before but there is a lot of ear worms here

Wonderful start and finish, massively boring for stretches in between despite great musicianship.

Look it's occasionally corny and I've heard the singles a thousand times in my life, but man these songs go so hard, give me that funky rock band, white boy.

Love her voice and arrangements! Her voice in particular seems like it was a big influence on the Foxy Shazam guy.

Fucking rocks

The hits are incredible no doubt, and the closing suite of songs is awesome; but boy does this have some duds for something so regarded as a classic.

Absolute banger, shame how conflicted I feel listening to prime Michael Jackson now, but it's undeniable how hooky this thing is, and his voice was just so beautiful at the time.

Forever respect the first four albums of the band that really got me into music. The shredders here are well known but, "Orion" is a masterpiece that still gives me goosebumps to this day.
