Feb 04 2026

Decent 3. This was a great album to start out this project with. I’ve heard “Can I Kick It?” before and really liked it. It’s still probably my fave on the album. Luck of Lucien and Footprints were also fun. I appreciate their jazz influence and think they have a great sound.

Feb 05 2026

Decent 2. I love “All Apologies.” It’s one of my favorite Nirvana songs of all time, but I prefer the studio production or other live versions. I felt overall this album wasn’t a great listen. It was boring and didn’t showcase Nirvana’s best work. I thought some songs just sounded terrible, like “Plateau.” Not their finest.

Doggystyle by Snoop Dogg
Feb 06 2026

Strong 1. The beats and production are fantastic. I just don’t support Trumpers and MAGAts so I’m voting 1 based on principle. Also I get annoyed with misogynistic language in songwriting. I’m over it

Joan Armatrading by Joan Armatrading
Feb 09 2026

Decent 3. Joan has a fantastic voice, but I felt like a lot of the songs blended together. I liked how the album got funkier towards the end with standouts like “People” and “Like Fire.” One of my favorite tracks was “Join The Boys.” This was a nice listen, I’m not sure how much I’ll go back to it though.

1984 by Van Halen
Feb 10 2026

Strong 2. SOOOO much musical talent in this group that is ruined by horrible songwriting. They needed to bring someone in to help them. Their lyrics seemed simple and juvenile. David’s voice also just grated on certain songs, like “Panama.” My listening experience went something like this: “Oh! This sounds good, love the guitar. Hopefully this is good.” To “Oh no, this is dumb.”

Bluesbreakers by John Mayall & The Bluesbreakers
Feb 11 2026

Strong 3. This is a great album! I must say I wasn’t familiar with John Mayall and The Bluesbreakers before this. Eric Clapton is a fantastic addition to this project. I’m a sucker for a harmonica too. I love the British rock/blues fusion. It sounds really great and can see why it’s so beloved. I don’t connect to the lyrics, which is something I weigh pretty heavily most of the time. I really didn’t like “Little Girl” but enjoyed “All Your Love” and “Steppin’ Out.”

Nick Of Time by Bonnie Raitt
Feb 12 2026

Decent 4. This was such a great album. Bonnie has a fantastic voice and it showcased beautifully on this album. I loved the range of songs, but especially loved “Nick of Time” and “Nobody’s Girl.” I thought there were a couple of songs that were lyrically a little cheesy (“Real Man” especially), so that’s why it doesn’t get a full 5 stars from me, but this is definitely my favorite album so far.

Thriller by Michael Jackson
Feb 13 2026

Decent 4. This is an iconic album. So many great songs on here and the production is amazing. It’s very nostalgic; I had many dance routines to songs on this album. I also feel that this album has influenced modern pop significantly. With that being said, there are definitely some songs lyrically that I don’t connect to. My faves are “Wanna Be Startin’ Something” and “Thriller.”

Green River by Creedence Clearwater Revival
Feb 16 2026

Decent 2. This just isn’t for me. I think there’s better stuff out there that has a similar sound. I’m not connected to this at all and didn’t really have any song I liked. I really don’t like the vocals either. I can appreciate the musical ability and talent so that’s why I’m giving it a 2 instead of a 1, but even so, it’s just not my thing.

C'est Chic by CHIC
Feb 17 2026

Strong 4. This was such a fun listen! I love the classic disco sound, it just puts you in a good mood. “Le Freak,” “I Want Your Love,” and “Funny Bone” are definitely the standouts for me. Incredible production and super fun songs. It just makes you want to dance!

Feb 18 2026

Decent 2. Overall, I felt like this album was pretty boring and a lot of the songs sounded the same. “The Girl from Ipanema” was good a fun way to start the album off and I had high hopes, but sadly, they were not met.

Calenture by The Triffids
Feb 19 2026

I listened to the first 5 songs then gave up. I didn’t like this album and thought it was really boring and uninteresting. There’s much better music out there with a similar vibe.

Want One by Rufus Wainwright
Feb 20 2026

Decent 2. The first song was great I thought I was going to like it, but it all went downhill from there.

21 by Adele
Feb 24 2026

First five star rating!! This album is a perfect, no skip album. I remember when it came out, we were all so excited about Adele and her unique, incredible voice. My favorites from this are “Turning Tables,” “Set Fire To The Rain,” and “One and Only.” Also if I never hear another version of “Lovesong” again I would be content. LOVEEEEEE this whole album!!

Feb 26 2026

Decent 2. I got excited about this album when I heard the first song but unfortunately, it slowly declined from there. He’s super talented, I just thought some of the songs were weird and not nice to listen to

Pink Moon by Nick Drake
Mar 02 2026

Strong 3. This is a nice, easy album to listen to. I wasn’t familiar with Nick Drake at all, but I can tell he has influenced artists that I like now, like Fleet Foxes and Iron & Wine. He’s super talented and this album seemed ahead of its time. I like the indie rock vibe of it. Will I go back and listen to it a lot? Probably not. But overall, I liked it. My standouts were “Which Will” and “From The Morning.”

Marquee Moon by Television
Mar 03 2026

Decent 2. This wasn’t my fave. The lead singer’s voice REALLY bothered me. It made it unlistenable. The instrumentation was great , but there are a lot of other punk bands I like more.

Eagles by Eagles
Mar 09 2026

Decent 4. This is such a great album! Desert road trip vibes. I love it, not a bad song on here, but some are better than others. “Take It Easy”, “Witchy Woman,” “Peaceful Easy Feeling,” and “Earlybird” are my standout favorites.

Stankonia by OutKast
Mar 10 2026

Decent 2. I was familiar with the 3 hire from this album but not much else. “Ms. Jackson” and “So Fresh, So Clean” feel nostalgic and fun for me. Overall, it was okay. “Humble Mumble” was my fave.

The Next Day by David Bowie
Mar 11 2026

This whole album was unimpressive and middle of the road. Nothing terrible, but nothing great.

Hotel California by Eagles
Mar 13 2026

I don’t love this album as much as the self titled album, but it’s still a fantastic classic.

Nebraska by Bruce Springsteen
Mar 16 2026
Jazz Samba by Stan Getz
Mar 17 2026

Such a vibe!!
