KIWANUKA by Michael Kiwanuka

beautiful voice, soulful. piano joint (this kind of love) has an underlying sense of suspense built by the melody, supported by the vocals. effect is built by the piano just before the chorus and the isolation of the piano and vocals creates emphasis on the lyrics and the pain of the artist. living in denial starts off very strong, the gunshot is a stark beginning to the song. the whole album feels like a culmination of understanding life, its difficulties and coming to terms with self acceptance, how the world works and a reflection of self, love, fear and rejection. the music shows the complexity of emotion and perception - its a careful balance of almost violent music supported and softened by gentle vocals and delicate melodies.

Led Zeppelin IV by Led Zeppelin

Battle of Evermore - makes you feel like you're in Ella Enchanted waiting in the forest for the next mythical creature to come in and transport you to the next scene. Rock n Roll was far more interesting, although battle of evermore has more enchanted imagery and powerful movement in the language used. Hello Stairway to Heaven - Classic. When the Levee Breaks is your favorite.

04/03/2026. Cisco starts of STRONG, the perfect amount of forehead creasing, lip pursing, head bopping. This is right up your alley. where was you at - where was i at my whole life, this song is THE main character arc intro sequence walk through the park, through every picturesque neighbourhood, seeing the beauty of life on your bike before the story starts. city country city tells a story, it enchants you through small dimly lit streets, bustling corners, neon signs at night as a city comes alive and people come to be free to be another version of themselves. the sax gets a little zingy in the middle could be deeper, but the zing wakes you up. FOUR COURNERED ROOM 8.1/10 - sultry, this is what sinners wanted to be if it was set in the 20s/30s and feel the soul/blues vibe. the world is a ghetto 10/10 - no notes

this is everything 12 was. listening to this is a reminder of having an ipod and converting the videos from youtube to add them to itunes. each song is a fond memory of being a kid and trying to understand what the songs were about but not being able to comprehend beyond the beauty of the songs being acoustically pleasing. a few years later, listening to these songs you finally understand the lyrics and really feel for 21 year old adele who actually went through all this. much wiser beyond 21, the pain and depth is crazy.

sounds like harry styles definitely sampled this album in one way or another, but so joyful so light even if the meaning is darker and genuinely enjoyable.
