1001 Albums Summary

I love talking heads but their albums are always more filler than I expect.

The Byrds are country? Solid album and an enjoyable listen!

More spicy than Sir Duke, more big band than Miles. This was excellent!

This album started great and then seemed to go down hill from there. I’m glad I listened to it but I’m not sure if revisit it.

I’m a big fan of Kraftwerk, Autobahn is an incredible album. This was interesting but not as good, but I would 100% revisit!

Their third best album gets better and better as it goes on! Bloody loved it!

I enjoyed this, I’ve been listening to a lot of 1970’s Ethio-Jazz and Afro-funk on a Sunday morning so this hit at the right time! Great listen and I’ll definitely try to explore more of her music!

I was hoping to love this! I’m a big fan of harvest and harvest moon but it just didn’t hit the same. It felt sloppy and unfinished.

Pure new-romanticism! I thought the orchestration was great and I love a Jupiter 8 synth. The look of Love was a high note. Coincidently I’ve met Martin Fry a few times. He’s a nice guy!

This is good. I can see where a lot of music I listen to gets its influence from now. I’d agree with most and say the mezzanine is better.

The first half of this album is outstanding! Shame it’s U2

It can get a bit same’y but pre-Turn Blue Black keys are awesome. I think I prefer the rawness of Thickfreakness but this is still great!
