1001 Albums Summary

Not bad, but I feel like I've heard better Iron Maiden. I do like the driving force kind of feeling in Transylvania. Iron Maiden as a whole I feel is really good at making songs feel like you're in the passenger car of a speeding car.

Really good! Selfish is definitely a highlight for me off of this one. I wanted to like Therapy more, but it just doesn't grab me.

After Hours is a mood. It definitely feels like listening to a piece of history, but in a good way. The sampling of Stevie Wonder in Footprints was delightful. I like Mr. Muhammad quite a bit. I think there's definitely something about New York based hip-hop that definitely grabs me more than other regions.

Sinatra, and generally crooners, are really emblematic to me of a completely "just fine" genre of music. It doesn't amaze me, but it doesn't offend me either. I wouldn't put it on of my own volition, but I would have no issue if someone else put it on. In others words, it's alright!

Mostly a miss for me. Feels like I'm mopping in a mall and this is the only non-work thing I can hear. Forgiven was kind of fun.

I stand by my stance that east coast 90's hip-hop is by and far better than west coast.

I think I can see how this inspired future bands, but this didn't do a whole lot for me.

Speakerboxxx wasn't as good as The Love Below, but is still damn good. Both discs went on a bit long for me.

Jarring to hear Ice Cube.

Older and newer Blur albums have been better. But this is still solid.

I'm a sucker for this kind of shit. It's not exciting or really all that interesting, but I vibe with it.

First actual listen-through of a Frank Zappa affiliated album! I overall liked it.

Besides a few duds, I think there's a reason the Beatles are as popular as they are.

I preferred the other album by this artist I listened to, but I would still say I liked this one! It was odd listening to Heads Will Roll, expecting it to play the sped up version.

I struggled to like it :(

Actually the last best shot Mormons had at being culturally relevant in the 21st century. Still a great album, but not enough to make Mormonism cool.
