1001 Albums Summary

Very interesting album. The rap is good. Good flow, nice beats. However, the language is very vulgar. The whole wu-tang vibe taken from old Chinese kung fu movies is a bit gimmicky. There isn’t much diversity. It feels like listening to the same song. The beat is always very similar.

Good sound. I like the instrumentals a lot. But the lyrics are just not it for me. I’d jam to the instrumentals though, which I find fire. Some of the tracks at the beginning and at the end are a bit boring and void. It feels like the whole album exists to make one or two main tracks shine. It’s not bad. But it could have been better if he had put more care in each track.

Interesting

Surprisingly fun to listen to. I just feel like the singer had so much fun recording this. Took me two days to fully enjoy it. The songs are very diverse and some of them are iconic and timeless. I think what makes a good album is indeed the timeless characteristics. Something you can enjoy even decades later. The vocals in this one surprised me and it is very inventive.
