1001 Albums Summary

Buxbaum would play "Human Behavior" and "Big Time Sensuality" at A Cappella all the time. Her vocals are actually incredible. I'm kind of vibing with the trip pop parts, unsure about the jazz. I have finished one listen through and will probably do another. Now that I've already eaten and my appetite is satiated, I really want to digest it.

I wanted so bad to like this but I am just confused. I was expecting rock but there's a lot of disjointed jazz. The organ on The Only Way was pretty sick.

So good. Elicits that melancholia that feels comforting, because you know others share the feeling. I want to curl up on a rainy day and drink this album out of a mug.

Hell yesssss. Fave tracks are No Compassion, The Book I Read, Pulled Up. Definitely was bopping my head to most of these songs.

Couldn't make it through. Cool sound, but pretty harsh. Maybe if I was in a different mood, I would like it, but it was stressing me out lol

Dancing in the Dark is my jam and I appreciate the protest songs but my god The Boss really loves a loud fucking song, every song has a backbeat and an organ.

The title song is obviously SO overplayed, but it's interesting to hear it in the original context. I just love some good old ROCK AND ROLL!

Very fun, psychadelic/hipster, tried to listen while cooking but liked it better while driving in the car. Rock Operas need to come back again.
