1001 Albums Summary

Arguably one of the most influential albums in hip-hop, aggressive and expressive. Not my cup of tea though.

Last song almost made me quit eating meat and then I had a burger after. Not sure why Morrissey is getting the hate he's getting on this album, I found it very fitting to the basslines and guitars. He does sound sad and hungry though.

Pretty fun, 40 minutes is a lot of time for all that brass though...

Very fun listen, so ahead of its time.

Absolute cinema, Adele is a genius. Cried to Million Years Ago.

I liked it, very sentimental at times. Some fluff and pretentiousness here and there.

This was so long it took me 3 whole days to finish, the two sides are almost polar opposites but very enjoyable, Andre3000 is the horniest man alive

the reference Bossa Nova album, 10/10

Stripped back yet so full of life; Johnny’s voice shines through in his life’s final work. Existential crisis at the gym.

Granted a very technical album but man, this was a tough listen. Maybe I don’t like jazz.

This didn’t click with me, but I can see why it’s so important.

Falling in love, heartbreak, self discovery, all lived through this album. I wish I was young again.

Bouncy, poppy, excellent guitars and drums. Very interesting take on late 80s indie. Enjoyable and uplifting listen.

Fun and experimental. Didn’t expect this much genre hopping. Maybe individually the tracks are not stellar in their respective genres but as a whole it’s a fun listen.
