L.A. Woman by The Doors
Apr 17 2026

Legendary psych rock album from Jim and the Doors. Arguably their best/most influential record however I prefer their self titled. This does have some memorable highlights like Love Her Madly and The Changeling though.

Apr 19 2026

This sophomore album from Eminem has high peaks and some low points too, as if often the case for Em. However it unarguably cemented his place in the hip hop mainstream and influenced generations of rappers to come. This is actually an album my mum had on CD when I was growing up so I'm very familiar. Personally the Eminem show is a more cohesive and iconic hip hop album but the importance of this project can't be denied.

Dookie by Green Day
Apr 21 2026

Never been a huge green day fan but they undeniably have some catchy sing-along hits. This album in particular is full of them. Is this considered the greatest pop punk record ever? (If we don't include the buzzcocks)

Pet Sounds by The Beach Boys
Apr 23 2026

Something about this album has just never really clicked for me. I enjoy the occasional track but overall it feels pretty overrated and the fact people put them in the conversation with other 60s greats honestly baffles me.

Apr 25 2026

One of the most creative, diverse and unique groups to come out of the 70s funk era. Had only ever heard why can't we be friends but since hearing since this record I'm definitely excited to explore more of their discography. This album is only 6 songs long but you wouldn't necessarily know it if you didn't look at the tracklist as it spans over 40 minutes. Very enjoyable experience overall.

Aja by Steely Dan
Apr 30 2026

While the influence of this album can't be denied I do think the musical quality really hasn't stood the test of time when compared to other 70s British punk icons. I really want to rate this higher because of how genre defining it is and how many other bands were inspired by it/them but the music limits it to a 3.

Grace by Jeff Buckley
May 18 2026

Much like pet Sounds earlier this is one of the albums that has just never clicked for me which is strange because everything about my music taste says I should love Jeff Buckley. I should probably give it a relisten but from memory it didn't feel like a cohesive album and the hits don't make up for that. I just never really understood the hype/respect Buckley commands.

All Things Must Pass by George Harrison
May 26 2026

One of my favourite solo projects from any of the beatles. George is so talented and underrated. RIP.
