Jazz Samba by Stan Getz
Apr 22 2026

I'm a big fan of samba and bossa nova, and I also like Stan Getz to begin with. This sounds like a good album for me to study on guitar, with a couple of songs I recognize as standards. Strong start to the album, not a big fan of the later songs. Getz is very smooth and melodic.

Rubber Soul by Beatles
Apr 23 2026

I grew up with the Beatles, though I never listened to this album much. I quite like the sound, as it feels like Beatles with a faint rock/punk edge to it.

Apr 24 2026

All I knew of Fatboy Slim was "Weapon of Choice." This album was interesting but not really my cup of tea. A lot of the songs sounded really similar and had similar beats, which admittedly did sound cool. I skipped a few parts of songs (including that awful fucking in heaven song) and don't feel like I missed much.

Innervisions by Stevie Wonder
Apr 25 2026

I'm a big fan of this album, and I like it a lot more than Songs in the Key of Life! Quite varied and rich harmony plus well-written lyrics

Sunday At The Village Vanguard by Bill Evans Trio
Apr 26 2026

most of the album is jazz for sleeping... a few exciting tracks. Bill Evans is always smooth. I particularly enjoyed the bassist on this album

Guero by Beck
Apr 28 2026

it's sort of interesting, but nothing really captivated me or stood out to me in this album. doesn't seem very cohesive, at least musically

Come Away With Me by Norah Jones
Apr 29 2026

Not my kind of music but I still enjoyed it quite a bit

Blackstar by David Bowie
May 03 2026

Musically interesting and somewhat haunting while still being fairly catchy

Drunk by Thundercat
May 04 2026

Ahhh I loved this album and listened to it a bunch before 1001 albums!

Music in Exile by Songhoy Blues
May 05 2026

This was awesome! Better and more interesting than most stuff I hear in the states while still retaining catchiness and musicality

Abraxas by Santana
May 06 2026

Lovely album, although santana is a guitarist I felt this album had overall strong instrumentals and composition beyond guitar

Blood And Chocolate by Elvis Costello & The Attractions
May 08 2026

better than i expected, fairly catchy. some songs are really not great though, and i started out the album thinking wtf am i listening to

Scott 4 by Scott Walker
May 17 2026

opening track was interesting, overall album had a pleasing almost modern sound to it

Off The Wall by Michael Jackson
May 18 2026

My favorite MJ album!!

Tommy by The Who
May 26 2026
