General Thoughts: Really great rock album. Vibes are driving with windows down hair in the wind but the truck is a little muddy. Feeling closer to my southern roots baby.

General Thoughts: Very smooth and enjoyable. A nice variety of songs within the album, even though they do all cohere to a similar vibe. Some great jazz pieces. Favorite Song: Mother's Daughter

sick as hell in literally every way. really incredible and powerful lyricism, some of the best beats/instrumentals i've heard, and an unrelenting and intoxicating energy. a powerhouse album truly. im kinda floored by how good it is.

for a significant portion of my life this has been a 'my dad likes this' album in my head, so some songs on here really have a soft spot in my heart lol. i wish it had a bit more variety but their shtick is pretty solid.
Favorite Song: Manhattan

Solid and smooth album, though it often dissolves into background noise (albeit enjoyable background noise!). That girl can sing.

I find this album rather unremarkable. some enjoyable songs, but I just don't vibe with it as a whole. probably doesn't help that I'm not really a fan of the title track.
Favorite Song: New Kid in Town

Certainly not the vibe I was expecting from my (admittedly limited) knowledge of other Beck songs/albums. The slower, more somber sound is certainly what I appreciate most about this album, but it also is what makes this less of my preferred vibe. While some of the songs blend together a bit, I still enjoyed this one (the highs are high!), though I prefer Beck's other work.
Favorite Song: Little One

really into this. i love noise rock/post-punk so this was gonna be at an advantage for me. kinda shocked to see the lower rating but whatever. a pretty abrasive and interesting album that is, i believe, really cohesive while still maintaining some unique sounds in each track. excited to listen to some more sonic youth!!!
Favorite Song: Shadow of a Doubt

Shockingly, I think this is my first Aerosmith album? I really dislike the song 'Big Ten Inch Record' lmaooo. Rest of this is pretty solid, and it obviously has two great songs. I find this to be a nice, easy, and sometimes quite fun listen, though its highs often outshine the rest of the album.
Favorite Song: Walk This Way

I've loved a handful of songs from this album for a while, so I'm excited to give the full thing a listen!!!! Basically this rocks. Really incredible sound sustained throughout the album with a nice variety within that rather cohesive style. Quite a long album but it never feels like it is. I love this kind of punk what can I say. Incredible riffs!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Forgot that the Jackass song was on here so that was crazy for a moment. Shout out Johnny Knoxville.

some beautiful lyrics, but I don't love love the sound (and I definitely a person who listens to music before lyrics). Cohen has an interesting and pretty smooth voice, but I just wanted more from this musically. still enjoyed.
