It was okay. Simon and Garfunkel usually isn’t for me but there are some real tender raw moments that you can’t help but feel.
Homeward bound and Flowers Never Bend with the Rainfall are my two favorite but I also love the opening tracks medieval feel. Reminds me of John cales version of Venus in furs
Great production, this album kinda heats up more as you listen. Son of a preacher man is a banger so exciting and it has great layers and call backs. I don’t want to hear it anymore also has fantastic lush vocal layering. Probably Phil Spector. I find myself wanting to go higher though, it kinda feels like it edges me overall just wanted more.
I really like his voice, the funky songs are kinda mid so far. Two songs in.
These middle songs nice I love the o plebeu la la la la la part. A historia has a great rhythm in the beginning
Not usually a fan of boogie or anything like that but this was a solid listening experience. I would play this at a party it would be cool

One of the better ones I’ve heard but still not good enough for a 4. I like the Beatles esque song writing and there’s some very tender moments but I’m not a huge fan of these types of beegee harmonies. Honestly in general harmonies can be kinda icky. I love do for the others. I also really like Judy blue eyes that’s just a classic.
LCD soundsystem sounds like early 2000’s Franz Ferdinand Interpol type shit but with Talking Heads erratic shit and also like b52’s blondie but then it’s electronic also. I absolute loved it

Listening to more of it I don’t really feel much, some cool fills by ginger baker, and some great riffs for sure. The melody’s and vox kinda buns tho ngl.

Pretty horrible
I mean, 4 songs in, this is a generational album. Maybe defined kings of leons whole career but it’s better and more anthemy. It’s very hard to make interesting good anthem rock but this is it.
Mr brightside is obviously one of the best songs ever. Somebody told me also. It’s like more new wavey strokes.
Still good throughout but the beginning of the album is for sure better.
Underrated rhythms across the whole album I never really noticed the at with the killers.
Overall the album slows down from the beginning but still just high level of quality. The production can be a bit much at times but that’s nitpicky I really like the melody’s. Chantable and good. This is a 4
A true masterpiece idk what there needs to be said about this album. It still holds up to this day in terms of production and not just production but the way the instrumentation is used. Combine that with great Marshall tones and Marc Bolans vox and you have a generational album. This album deserves to be sampled way more than it has been.
Mambo sun- incredible mood to it. So tough but nice to listen to. Great backup vox and hook.
Jeepster- absolute banger and one of the best guitar tones I’ve ever heard. Great mix of dissonance in the post chorus to get back rocking.

In all electric warrior makes 12 bar blues interesting with tones and performances.
Yea honestly not very good. Some good guitar works and everything. But I don’t like Courtney loves voice and it’s not very melodic.
I really really enjoy it. I think it’s very good but I am going to leave the jury out in this one and come back to review it. Combining blues songs with hip hop is fire.
