What an opening, so interesting and dynamic. I dont understand how someone could be bored by this album, every song is so different and interesting, I really enjoyed this experience and the emotions it brought. 4 stars.

Parallel Lines by Blondie
Jul 16 2026

Listened to this while working on assignments, but really enjoyed it. Sick rock instrumentals and solos and a groovy vibe, really reminds me of my mum. This whole album has that kinda tongue and cheek sarcastic mood, but has some really upbeat songs too. Top song: Hangin on the telephone, perfect start to a great album. solid 7.5/10.

Brothers In Arms by Dire Straits
Jul 17 2026

I love this album, such a classic with some absolutely banging tunes, fond memories of listening with close friends on car trips. This album has some absolute classics such as brothers in arms, walk of life, and of course, money for nothing, owner of one of the best riffs and guitar tones of all time. Top pick: Your latest trick, was my favourite song for a solid 6 months, never gets old. This one is an easy 9/10 from me

KIWANUKA by Michael Kiwanuka
Jul 18 2026

Incredibly groovy and cool, love all the instrumentals, it really feels like something out of the 60s or 70s. Some very different vibes and genres covered throughout too. Light was such an amazing ending to this brilliant album, will definately be listening to this one again, a few songs already made the playlist. 8.5/10 4 stars

Miriam Makeba by Miriam Makeba
Jul 18 2026

Such a cool album, my dad grew up in south africa so its amazing to hear some african music. I love the fusion of jazz and afropop, really cool and fun. The jazz guitar on Lakutshon'Ilanga was so beautiful, its cool to hear jazz that was inspired by african music in an album with traditional african songs. Great vibe on this album, very meaningful and politically potent in apartheid south africa, i have to give this one 7.5/10, 4 stars.

2112 by Rush
Jul 19 2026

Ambitios start to a cool album, a 20 minute song is always intimidating but it kept me entertained, many different vibes on one track. It was fun, but didn't really hold my attention the whole way through. I also don't love the voice of the singer. All in all, good album but not really my vibe, 5/10 with 3 stars.

Mellon Collie and the Infinite Sadness by The Smashing Pumpkins
Jul 20 2026

I was really excited to see this one pop up, its been on my list for a hot minute and I was not disappointed. The start to this album is really nice, slowly building in energy, with both emotional quieter tracks and some angsty punkish rock tracks. As annoying as Billy Corgan's voice is, despite all my rage i am still just a rat in a cage is a great lyric for that chorus. I was really surprised by some of the tracks on side one, notably love, Galapogos and take me down, really beautiful and sensitive instrumentals. I've heard some complaints about the overly dramatised lyrics but tbh I dont really focus on lyrics when I listen, more of an instrumental person so I didn't hate this album. Gonna give this one 7.2/10 and 4 stars, subtracting points for the length, (side 1 was great but 2 was a bit of a drag), and because Billy Corgan is a bit of a stuck up wanker. Update, im halfway through the second disk and im getting sick of it, this is lucky to get away with 4 stars.

Smash by The Offspring
Jul 21 2026

Good album all in all but a bit sames same and cliche. Lots of nostalgia tough, still a solid album in my books, other than some problematic lyrics. 6/10 3 stars

Back to Mystery City by Hanoi Rocks
Jul 22 2026

Quite uninteresting, not sure why this is here to be honest

Jul 23 2026

Didnt hate this one, dragged on a bit but i like the style and attitude, especially out of the 70s. I feel like there are a lot of bands trying to make this sound today, and im a huge Geese fan so this is pretty cool.

Songs In The Key Of Life by Stevie Wonder
Jul 24 2026

What a funky album, Stevie Wonder is such an amazing musician. Previously i had only heard sir duke but the rest of this album is just as amazing, such a vibe. 9/10 5 stars

Channel Orange by Frank Ocean
Jul 25 2026

My personal favourite album from Frank, some really gorgeous songs. I really like the instrumentals he has here too, songs like super rich kids and pyramids are really amazing. Has to be 5 stars from me.

Music Has The Right To Children by Boards of Canada
Jul 26 2026

I feel like i'm not sophisticated enough to enjoy this, music for pretentious pseudo-intellectuals with incredible attentions spans. 2/10 with 1 star from me.

The Suburbs by Arcade Fire
Jul 27 2026

This album did not really draw me in, perhaps because i am a bit tired, but it felt very long and uninteresting. I'm not sure what made it boring but nothing really stuck, all sounded a bit generic, not to say its a bad album, just not amazing from me. Giving it 2 stars with a 5/10 rating.

The College Dropout by Kanye West
Jul 28 2026

I will preface this review by stating that this is a platform to review music, and for that only. I do not in any way support Kanye West or his views and opinions, this review is purely reviewing the music that I hear. This is a great early album from Kanye, people always talk about Graduation, but he had some really good stuff in college dropout. Jesus walks is a great track, lots of good features on here too. Slow Jamz is a great track, who knew Jamie Fox would be such a great feature. All in all, a really good hip hop album. My personal favourite track is Two Words, gotta love Mos Def. 7/10 with 4 stars from me.

Autobahn by Kraftwerk
Jul 29 2026

Very strange album, opening with a 20 minute track is ambitious, i didnt hate it. The second track was pretty cool, bout overall not fully my vibe, i definitely felt like it dragged on. 6/10 with 3 stars.

Blonde On Blonde by Bob Dylan
Jul 30 2026

Cool album, love hearing the sounds that inspired so many modern artists. I did get sick of the harmonica though. I really really enjoyed sad-eyed lady of the lowlands, and One of us must know and i want you were also very good. I really enjoyed this album, giving it a 4 with 9/10 stars.

Suicide by Suicide
Aug 02 2026

I didn't really mind this until I got up to Girl. I just ran a half marathon and it was easier on my body and mind than listening to 10 minutes of Frankie Teardrop. On the plus side, this is a great album to give as an example if someone asks me what a one star album sounds like.

Close To You by Carpenters
Aug 03 2026

I really enjoyed this album, it wasnt especially unique or mind breaking, but i thought it was really well written with great vocal and instrumentals. Some really tasteful covers too. I am giving this a 4 star review because i genuinely enjoyed it.

Tapestry by Carole King
Aug 04 2026

What an album. Such beautiful songwriting and incredible instrumentals Have to give this 5.

Take Me Apart by Kelela
Aug 05 2026

Well produced, but i didnt find this all too interesting. Might be because im not a huge RnB fan, but im just gonna rate off how i enjoyed it, so 3 stars from me.

Third by Portishead
Aug 06 2026

What an opening, so interesting and dynamic. I dont understand how someone could be bored by this album, every song is so different and interesting, I really enjoyed this experience and the emotions it brought. 4 stars.

Ragged Glory by Neil Young & Crazy Horse
Aug 07 2026

I enjoyed the energy on this album more than the actual music, but all in all not a bad album. 3 stars.

Tom Petty & The Heartbreakers by Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers
Aug 08 2026

Loved the vibe of this album, so cool songs. Didnt really jump at me but fun anyways. 7/10 3 stars.
