Ellington at Newport by Duke Ellington
Jul 28 2026

I am pretty indifferent to jazz music. Most of it is good background music. Some of the trumpet whining can be a bot obnoxious. I know that Duke Ellington was a legend and hearing the live performance is pretty cool.

Vol. 4 by Black Sabbath
Jul 29 2026

Amazing heavy rock, the instrumentals are top tier. Ozzy's vocals are great though hard to understand. I am reading the lyrics before start of each song and the lyrics are good. The drums are these songs sounds fucking amazing. This album is about believing in yourself and living your life external of what people want from you and want you to believe.

Either Or by Elliott Smith
Jul 30 2026

Soft rock vibe with soft vocals, very chill vibe.

Pet Sounds by The Beach Boys
Jul 31 2026

I find it hilarious that they use sleigh bells and hoof sounds in some of their songs despite having nothing to do with Christmas. Great vocals and vocal layering. The instruments that the Beach Boys is what gives them such an iconic sound, like wood blocks and timpani drums

What's Going On by Marvin Gaye
Aug 04 2026

Beautiful album. Such a talented singer and the message of each song is amazing. Theme of Love, togetherness, struggling through hard times, Jesus. While listening, I thought, what if black artists continued to make music with messages like this instead of modern rap idolizing killing people and selling drugs

Low by David Bowie
Aug 06 2026

Album is all over the place, some songs don't have any words but still sounded good. Nothing memorable or catchy.

Only By The Night by Kings of Leon
Aug 10 2026

The first song Closer sounded like This is Why I'm Hot and I can't unhear it. After listening to quite a few songs consecutively, the vocals get to be a little much. Between not understanding a word and the consistent squeals, it's a little tiring. Amazing instrumentals though.

Oxygène by Jean-Michel Jarre
Aug 17 2026

Skipped through this album and the songs just sound like background music to a sales pitch with weird sound effects.

GREY Area by Little Simz
Aug 19 2026

Her flow is crazy good, in combination with decent beats, the songs are pretty enjoyable
