1001 Albums Summary

The first time I heard it I thought I was mistaken, I was certain this was the one with Clint Eastwood on it, turns out that was the 5th song on the album. Turns out Damon Albarn just put the hits wherever he wanted. Makes sense, space out the good songs throughout the slop. 3.5/5

This sounds like if early King Crimson and Jimi Hendrix did a collab together. No, I will not elaborate. 4.5/5

Going into this I tried to set the mood by having Rainy Mood playing in another tab to get me in the right frame of mind. I feel I couldn't get the full effect unless I was in a suit and a trilby, with a cigar in one hand and some whisky in the other. If I had time to prepare I would have tried to do it.

I can't put this into words exactly but this sounds like the beta version of Graceland. Ever wonder if he was still alive he would be one of those guys that travel to places like North Korea to try and build bridges with music? 3/5

This sounds like if Ziggy Stardust had the 'BAD ENDING' and he has to live as as a human and not as a weird alien twink thing. 2/5

It's interesting to hear the Fab Four before all the drugs they took melted their brains and they started writing songs about living in a yellow submarine. Maybe they were cooked before Yoko got involved? 4/5

Massive Attack made an album so good it spawned an entire genre and still topped themselves with their next album. 5/5

This sounds like a woman doing a sexy version of ASMR. I didn't mean that in a perverted way, just that every song in this album could be used for the intro of a James Bond movie. 4/5

Freedom 90 is trying to carry the album like Atlas carrying the world. The rest of the album is George Michael doing repetitive ballads with the reverb cranked up as high as it can go. 1.5

This sounds like the sort of music a schizophrenic would write if they were trying to write two songs at once. The entire album feels like an acid trip. 2.5/5

No matter how good this album is I can't stop myself from imagining GH angrily writing songs while yelling about Lennon–McCartney snubbing his songs from the Beatles for so long. Things made out of spite always turn out to be the best things. 5/5
