Master Of Puppets by Metallica

The instrumentation paired with the themes and lyrics that I assume were once considered "metal" and edgy just land to my ears as kinda boring, repetitive, and commercially clean to a comical point. I have trouble taking this album seriously.

good kid, m.A.A.d city by Kendrick Lamar

Very good album. A bit long at some points but solid bangers throughout.

Merriweather Post Pavilion by Animal Collective
Aug 30 2026

Its a masterpiece. It is the instigator of curiosity for experimentation and layers. Before this album I did not know that music could be done this way. I have listened to this album multiple times since it came out and every time I hear a new sound.

Good album! Not usually my type but it was a good vibe.

Good dad rock.

The Sounds Of India by Ravi Shankar

My first time hearing the sitar was through the Beatles, so hearing George's teacher is a cool experience. You can tell he's a pro. Still, the album is not to my taste and gets long after a bit.

The Velvet Underground by The Velvet Underground
Sep 05 2026

Excellent album. Re-listened multiple times since.

Eagles by Eagles
Sep 06 2026

It was okay. Very medium overall. Nothing really popped up but also nothing necessarily bad.

The Stone Roses by The Stone Roses
Sep 07 2026

Good album. I do not hate it as much as when I first heard of Stone Roses at 15-15 years old. I'm glad to have re-listened, yet Still, its just not for me.

Moondance by Van Morrison

Bitte Orca by Dirty Projectors

Interesting album. Sounds like art. Some cool bits, not very coherent overall.

Tank Battles by Dagmar Krause
Sep 10 2026

Very cool album. I never heard something like it. Tragic at times.

Music for the Masses by Depeche Mode
Sep 11 2026

First time listening to the band, heard that name before. Cool vibe overall.

Diamond Life by Sade

Going in only knowing Smooth Operator. I was gonna rate it a 3 star because it sounded like the kind of album you listen to while sipping a drink in a smokey dark blue-ish room with carpet flooring and vertical panel blinds in 1989 on a rainy early fall fall night while the alarm clock`s red-ish glow hits the wet window reflection at 1:37 AM but then I was like "holy shit, I wish I was listening to it while sipping a drink in a smokey dark blue-ish room with carpet flooring and vertical panel blinds in 1989 on a rainy early fall fall night while the alarm clock`s red-ish glow hits the wet window reflection at 1:37 AM" type shit.

Manassas by Stephen Stills

I prefer Stills in CSNY, feels like something is missing all album.

Elephant by The White Stripes
Sep 15 2026

Some iconic rock right here.

Is This It by The Strokes
Sep 16 2026

The first and most iconic Strokes album. All songs are great.

In Our Heads by Hot Chip
Sep 21 2026

Weirdly simple. After what felt like 40 minutes I realized I was only on the 3rd track.

Harvest by Neil Young
Sep 28 2026

One of the best albums of all time. Listen to it many many times.

Palo Congo by Sabu
Oct 01 2026

This was good but I wouldn't have listened to it outside of the project.

Exit Planet Dust by The Chemical Brothers
Oct 02 2026

Good for working, but even there not that engaging.

Roger the Engineer by The Yardbirds
Oct 05 2026

Good, important, but what they became after is miles better.

Marquee Moon by Television
Oct 09 2026

For a long time I though "Torn Curtain" was "Torn Kitten" because of the guitar meowing.

KIWANUKA by Michael Kiwanuka
Oct 10 2026

What a cool sounding album. Out of my usual tastes for music but found this very enjoyable.
