Folk Rock from 1965. I never really listened to a lot of Bob Dylan, so color me surprised to hear his voice and it's not nearly as hyperbolic as the years have led me to believe. Musicianship on here is good, but I wouldn't call these technically flashy folks. The songs are fun and have an effervesence to them that is infectious. However, some of them devolve into almost quasi-parody with the silly lyrics (see "Ballad of a Thin Man"). The songs are performed with authenticity and confidence, and the energy is fun as mentioned before. All-in-all not bad, but not something I'll revisit.
