Reviews (page 2 of 2)

I can hear the heavy goth style reminding momentarily of Sisters of Mercy. Tends to get a little long and meandering. Not really my taste, but fun and not entirely awful. I admire their sense of humour.

The first 3 tracks are a total of 20 minutes long. There are 14 tracks. The submitter got jokes.

I really dislike the singer's vocals. And yet another album that is much longer than it needs to be. Sorry to the submitter, but I really couldn't stand this.

I’ve heard “Black No 1” a ton of times over the years, but never picked up on him saying “Sacré Bleu—uh” before. Hahaha - what the fuck. Just realizing it’s because that song is 11 minutes long here and I’ve probably only heard the shorter edit. It’s probably a good thing, there’s no need for that song to be 11 minutes, even with the ridiculous “sacré bleu!”, which made me laugh for a good half a minute. As the record goes on, they cover Seals and Croft, which might be the least metal thing a band could do. They also engage in some Grade A Edgelord trolling on “Kill All the White People” which wasn’t as offensive as it was dumb. Then, they write a song about how they hate everyone and don’t care what people think, which ends up making you feel like they actually do care. Mr. Steele doth protest too much, methinks.

Gothic metal, doom metal, alternative metal. Tostonazo. Un 1.

Ugh, overly long edgy 90s metal - not for me today.
