1001 Albums Summary

Quite dated, if this was a first listen I would be underwhelmed. I have nostalgia and that holds up but outside of that little is brought to the table. Here Today is a banger though.

some good dirty, smelly, filthy rock and roll

surprised me, interesting listen all the way through. Have never heard this side of the beach boys but i like it a lot.

did not click with me, too much disco/flare.

3.5; great 90s alt rock, bit of psych in there. good fun

4.5; I bigly enjoyed this, more than I thought I was going to.. I might be a steely dan fan now

have never heard of this, was pretty good! Safesurfer is a jam.

feels dated, very 90s. i dont think this aged very well, or is remarkable in any way.

this was great, love the mix of covers and originals. also love citar and moog, so this was a perfect match

this was a miss, love the genre and time period, but 100% a miss

strong start, weaker finish. some nice 80s pop, catchy and fun

incredible, classic.

1981 art pop? experimental pop? new wave? odd and i enjoy it.

3.5 solid steely dan, band is a vibe

later kinks is way better, this is too samey to the who and beatles from that era

not a lot of "guitar god" clapton on this but solid cuts. I shot the sheriff just made me want to listen to bob marley though.. claptons version is not great.

doesnt really hold a candle to what the arctic monkeys or the killers or the strokes did in the 2000s. i dont know why this is even on this list.

Wasn't quite in the mood for this, its not BAD but it definitely requires you to be in a foreign mood to vibe with.

Havent heard this mingus release, it was incredible.
