1001 Albums Summary

Killer album. I love the low end, Bass, Tuba, Bari Sax. Just the wide variety of instruments all coming together for such a beautiful piece.

Man, this one was a struggle to get through.

Never really like 'punk' music, or anything that was considered grunge. This was really no exception. I enjoyed the backend of the album with Hey being probably my favorite song.

It was just okay. I really feel the focus on lyrics in this list, but this just doesn't speak to me at all. It feels much more like I am going through a list of 1-hit wonders from UK. =(

This was pretty good. Definitely a different kind of album for the time it was released.

Definitely sounded like a trip, and reading up on the background, he was spot on with his work.

Really nice, smooth album. Bossa Nova is a fun genre of music.

Not too bad. Bullet the Blue Sky (sp) was my favorite track. I remember this album from childhood, and didn't like it then, but I have a much better appreciation.

First time listening to the full album. It was okay, and had a lot more going on than just Santa's and aliens.

This record was all about a dysfunctional marriage...over and over and over again. I get it, dude is a drunk.

This album went very fast, and faded into background music just as quickly. I found it very forgettable.

It wasn't bad, but very long. I could probably find a song or 2 to listen to again.

It’s the Talking Heads, of course it is going to be fantastic. It was! Why though? Instrumentation, is why. This is a band, not a pop group, so there is more to listen to than just lyrics and basic rhythms

Forgettable

It was fun. I have heard his newer versions of many of these songs. Nice to catch the “originals”

This was great! Not only is there a wonderful story behind Miriam, but the music is also great. This is my first 'world music' album to appear on the list.

This was fun, but nothing memorable

I love Bonnie but this album sounds very, very much like a stereotypical country/blues album in the 80’s. The guitar didn’t seem to be on fire.

This is my all time favorite band, so I am biased, however, this double album is simply amazing. So many hits here as well.

Very interesting. I had no idea what to expect and enjoyed the surprise. Very psychedelic, and ambient.
