this album is not good. well, it's well produced, but the songs just suck. they're all products of their time, with little to no heart. so many songs are just "please have sex with me i want sex so bad please it's good please i'm a gentleman but i want sex"
stupid dumb idiot album
Truly an bad album. I felt nothing but annoyance listening to it, anxiously waiting for it to just be over. bad bad bad.
always funny to be listening to these albums and suddenly get hit with an unexpected wave of nostalgia (this time because there's a song from shrek). The whole album is great, I had a great time with this messy emotional rock
Some really great songs and then a bunch of mediocre forgettable and kind of annoying tracks. You can tell which are which by just looking at the play count. No hidden gems here. But the popular tracks deserve the hype tbh
This album is great. Wonderwall is a pretty good song, but not the song this album deserves to be remembered by. "Don't look back in anger" is the true banger, and the finale "champagne supernova" is also really good. Solid album, one of the best I've encountered here so far
It's not necessarily "bad," I just don't really enjoy it. The music is kind of quirky/fun, but it overstays its welcome. Maybe if the album was trimmed down to half an hour I would've had a better time, 70 minutes is too many.
Perfectly fine dad rock. Something to turn on while driving across some barren part of the american countryside late at night.
yeah dude this is just noise. the songs are too long and repetitive. it's intentionally grating, not a fan. maybe in the right headspace? idk not my kind of hardcore
First full Elvis album I listened to. Wholly pleasant experience. Maybe some tracks were more forgettable than others, but none of them were bad. My favorite tracks were probably "In the Ghetto" and "Suspicious Minds."
Quaint little album. Gives you the vibe of sitting by a campfire on the prairie. The tracks all feel pretty similar, but it's a peaceful vibe, sometimes somber, sometimes reflective. Most songs are very short, around two minutes. But the strongest track is probably the longest one - "Can I Sleep in Your Arms." I also liked "Blue eyes crying in the rain," the title track "Red Headed Stranger," and "Time of the Preacher"
The vibes of 90s rap are so nice. The beats are pretty simple, and most of the album feels like some dudes just messing around. A lot of the tracks take aim at institutionalized racism, in hollywood, in the music industry, in day to day life. The title of the album means the status quo fears black people in power, black people having success. It's okay having them be participants in society, but not leaders. Pretty clever with the space theming on the cover. Some of the tracks are just beats. Just vibes on those tracks, not as much substance. The album is a bit too long.
The title track isn't what the album is known for - it's the final song "Fight the Power," you know it.
It's fine. I read that it was written as the soundtrack for a movie, and it sounds like it. The tracks aren't that enjoyable independently, but it's fun to imagine how they might be used as background in a movie (or just used as background while you go about your day). too much moaning
Good vibes, solid background music. Pretty forgettable though. I think it's only included on this list because of the iconic "le freak," nothing else really stands out.
meandering eight minute ballad ain't for me dawg. and why is an english band naming itself "japan"
Phenomenal acoustic album. Actually adding this one to my rotation.
Yeah, pretty much every song sounds the same. British punk kinda sucks. Is this the definitive british punk album? not a fan.
Good old fashioned country vibes. Simple guitar picking with emphasis on good singing. takes me back to a time i've never lived in
Just not enjoyable at all. I can see why some people might like it, but it just isn't for me.
A couple bangers, but most of the songs sound identical and repetitive. Just listen to Blitzkreig Bop (though I bet you already have).
It's got a unique vibe, and I kinda like it. Mostly forgettable, but not a bad listen.
I get it. I've listened to this album and the past and didn't enjoy it, but something clicked on this listen. I don't think every track is a hit, but pretty close. It certainly didn't change my life, but I had a good time listening to it.
Interesting, though almost wholly unpleasant. I did like "The Rip." This album could provide some solid ambiance in an unsettling scene in a movie, but personally I don't think I'd ever pop it on again.
really good shoegaze, i'll be listening to this one again
yeah this album made waves for the genre, but the genre sucks. hardcore is bad
everyone who likes this band has bad taste. this music sucks and there's way too much of it. How are the peppers so sucessful
this is the kind of music your one friend's band made in high school and it's not great but you don't want to be mean so you pretend you like it
I kind of dig it. The first track is nothing like the remainder of the album, making it feel really out of place. I guess my favorite track is "Vanishing Point"
