Solid, but none of the songs really spoke to me

Singing sometimes awkward, but great guitar parts

Cool guitar timbre. Can't sing along, but still catchy. A bit like Metric x La Femme, with more disorder and noise.

Has a feel somewhere between "in the zone and focused" and "walking around". Really cool mix of musical styles. Compelling parallel narratives of personal struggle and Black historical struggle.

I really like this one. Kind of like rock with 80s driving beats and synths.

The music is fine, he has a nice voice, and I can definitely see how it might have influenced others like Phoebe Bridgers. There's probably good stuff to learn from a closer look. But it doesn't really wow me and he's a bad person, so the balance is against it.

Feels like listening to a musical, but not in a good way. I'm not a fan of the mix of backing. There doesn't seem to be a smooth transition in songs, but lots of sudden shifts in volume and instrumentation that feel random.

I like the kind of psychedelic instrumental arrangements. I think the vocals sometimes keep it from being a real favorite for me, but every other part is really good.

A bit strange in that most of the songs are like 1-2 minutes long. Sound is a little like REM or Whitney, depending on the song. Some songs are musically interesting, but mostly not what I want to listen to casually .

Reminds me a little of All The Roadrunning or REM. Their songs are really good at both hitting all of the satisfying resolutions while also moving in interesting unexpected directions.
