The Divine ComedyThis album was a surprise for sure. It's a bit creepy with the women seduction, but the music is actually quite good. There were some genuinely good moments on them, especially for a comedy album

I could not get into this album. It was very repetitive early 2000s electronic with frustrating vocal performances. Not my thing.
I LOVED the guitar on this album, the melodies were insidious and infectious. Some songs tended to overstay their welcome with their lack of movement, but overall a great album
The gold standard of classic country. It moves from swaths of orchestral composition to guitar heavy country rock. Favorite song: Old Man, Alabama, Heart Of Gold
CHIC knows how to put together a groove. Some of the songs lost steam for me, but I had my fair share of highlights. Favorite song: good times
This album opened my eyes to Latinx music and the pure talent that these artists have is immense. Favorite songs: Chan Chan, De Camino LA Vereda, Pueblo Nuevo
I LOVED the guitar on this album, the melodies were insidious and infectious. Some songs tended to overstay their welcome with their lack of movement, but overall a great album
A fun and jaunty album. Very simple and enjoyable. Favorite song: The Turnpike Down, Hannah and Gabi
I've never really gotten into the Smiths, and this album didn't help out too much. The instrumentation and style choices were pretty good, but Morrisey's weird tounge swallowing thing he does is really annoying. I'll keep giving them a chance though. They're not bad. Fav song: Death of a Disco Dancer
A unique blend of styles that works well for the most part. Everything ranges from okay to good, but fails to be consistently great. Points for novelty and a few diamonds in the rough.3/5
A fun blend of psychedelic and Eastern sitar music. Very similar to the Beatles' weirder stuff. Some of the music was a little lugubrious for my taste though.
I could not get into this album. It was very repetitive early 2000s electronic with frustrating vocal performances. Not my thing.
This is one of the best albums of all time. It flows seamlessly from song to song, and is immaculately produced. It's hard to Beat this. Favorite Song: Time, Any Color You Want
Just a good album to jam to. They throw down some good grooves and the solos are great. Fav song Let's Start
This album has everything going for it with its ties to Wu Tang, but ai just couldn't get into it. Maybe I'll come back to it one day
Just a fun listening experience. The vocals range from rather meloncholy and idealistic to quite wacky. I love the beats, and the combo of synths and guitar work so well. Fav Song: All My Friends
Heavy drum and bass with industrial elements incorporated. I had a great time jamming to this album. It's not for everyone, but it would be awesome to listen to live. It feel like if the Matrix had their own band. Fav Song: Block Rockin' Blues
This album was a surprise for sure. It's a bit creepy with the women seduction, but the music is actually quite good. There were some genuinely good moments on them, especially for a comedy album
One of the greatest albums to exist. Not my favorite Beatles album, but there are no weak songs. It even get's funky with the orchestration near the end, so high marks from me. Fav song: A Day in the Life
A decently solid rock album. Nothing really stood out as incredible or awful. Fav song: Beautiful Day
Pretty fun to listen to. They brought in some solid features and talk on some serious subjects. They got some fire verses on this album too. Favorite song: Sum Of Us
This nearly hit for me, but not quite. I'd give another listen, but not now. Favorite song: tears of rage
I enjoyed more of this than I expected. There are some rather well put together industrial rock songs that are high energy and have a good melody. I don't really like the dramatic shifts in quiet moments to brutally loud moments though. Favorite song: Mr. Self Destruct
An interesting project. Just synth and drums. It feels like listening to a spacey David Attenburough documentary. I probably won't register, but it's a fun project. Fav track: Oxygen 4
A fun girl rock album. Great ripping guitars and angsty vocals. It didn't keep my interest the whole way through, but there's some good stuff on here. Favorite song: Celebrity Skin
I warmed up to this album for sure. There are some pretty bare country ballads on here, but there are also a lot of great country rock songs too. Definitely more good than bad. Favorite song: Amy
He's got a great singing voice and his instrumentation and use of organ is great. I'm not too hot on his rather overt religious themes, but he mixes them with rock and gospel really well Fav song: Let Love Rule
A lot of good melodies and some upbeat boys. The song lengths felt a bit short and underdeveloped, but it was fun to listen to. Fav Song: Thalassocracy
I warmed up to this album. The vocals are very counter culture esque with their simplistic and wavering tone. The synth melodies are simple , but pretty effective and the drums and bass give a sense of structure for the synths to sit on. Favorite song: Cars
Kindnof a one hit wonder. Their synth alternative music fuses together a few different styles and it's a bit of a weird listen. Not my favorite, but worth a listen
Man he's got one he'll of a voice. So much energy and passion. The song structures are repetitive, but yhats to be expected from the 50s. Favorite Song: Long Tall Sally
Didn't hit that hard for me. Maybe isn't was because I had low expectations going in or because of my mood, but it's doesn't have the musicality that Pink Floyd does. Maybe I'll come back late. Favorite song: Red Barchetta
The album wasn't available, but there are a few singles I'll check out later.
At first I didn't like the audience part of the live album, but it grew on me. There was a good report between cash and the crowd. The songs were dead simple, but that allowed them to get pretty raw, almost a stream of conscious. Favorite song: Starkville County Jail
The first half of this Albums wasn't really clicking for me, but after Geno they really hit their stride and it turns into a pretty excellent second half. The lead vocalist wavers on annoying, but with the right song it hits. Favorite song: Seven Days Too Long
This is the second time I've done a listen through of this album and I'm starting to glean the impressive collection of songs for what it is. The lyrics are foreboding and metaphorical for bodies own life and his influences on love. I'm not in love with the album, but I appreciate it for what it is. Favorite Song: Blackstar
This album grew on me. It's unsettling, both lyrically and melodically with rare chord resolves throughout. His voice is haunting as the synths and electronic orchestration play out. Favorite song: By This River
A solid punk album. High energy, roaring guitars, and biting vocals. There's some great melodies on this and it bops the whole way through. I don't think the production is as grand as an album like Celebrity Skin, but this hits the mark for me. Favorite song: Stutter
This was an interesting listen. I liked the almost antifolk and alternative genres she blended together, and she incorporated some external melodies synonymous with England to varying degrees of success. I feel like there's better songs by this artist, but the music on this was good enough to want me to learn more. Favorite song: The Words That Maketh Murder
Honestly a great album. It has a wonderful blend of country and more synth elements that really mesh well together. I liked their melodies and energy a lot. Favorite Song: My Old School
Pure reggae to its core. I didn't vibe with this as hard as some other world music, but it there's some good moments on it. Favorite song: Why Must I Cry
This album started off great, but it's over an hour and a half long. There's movies that are that long. And several of the pieces are sketch like interludes. If it was boiled down to its greatest bits it would be a great album, but as is its unwieldy. Favorite Track: wolfman jack
Just a quick ambient album that uses eastern and microtonal instruments. Pleasing to listen to as the musicians jam and develop their sound across each song. It was alright, but nothing special in my mind.
Had a good time with this. It had some great blues riffs and soulful vocals from Mc Jagger. Not as catchy as some of their other material, but you can groove it it well. Favorite Song: Can You Hear Me Knockin
A solid recommendation. This album is loud, gritty, and high energy. I loved the roaring guitar melodies and Damon Albarns vocals fit in with this band just as well as in Gorillaz. Top notch. Favorite song: Chinese Bombs
I liked this better than bone machine, but tom waits just doesn't really do it for me. His voice is a bit of a turn off personally, but I did like the blues and jazz incorporated throughout. Favorite song: Johnsburg, Illinois
This is the Cars at their peak. Many of their greatest hits all packed into one quick listen. It falls off a little on the back end, but it's truly hit after hit for this one. Favorite Song: Just What I Needed
This album is a classic. Alanis manages to pack all of her greatest hits into one project, and even the most icons ones for the wrong reasons. A great blend of pop and alternative, with simple song themes of love and heartbreak. Favorite Song: You Oughta Know
A solid jazz album. It's low key and just gives the musicians room to solo. Something nice to throw on in the background and vibe to. Favorite song: On The Sunny Siclde Of The Street
I was not expecting this from the Beach Boys at all. It's complex, deals with themes of global pollution and protest, and dips into genres I would have never thought they would go for. I like this a lot. Favorite song: Long Promised Road
A nice blend of 80s pop, blues, and a weird mix of raegae. Bonnie Raitt has a soulful and emotive voice that blends well with her band, when the genre is right. Nothing too complex as far as theme or song structure, but effective none the less.
