Fleet Foxes
Fleet FoxesI love love love this album. I used to listen to it so much when I lived in Ottawa on Blackburn and then on Argyle. I would bike with my headphones in and sing this album sooooo loud! Thanks for the good listen.

Wow! I had never really listened to them before, but I knew of them. Nina Persson's voice is so soothing and entrancing. This album is excellent! I am really loving this album. Cheerful, bopping, jazz/pop/rock. There's even flutes!
5 x 10 minute / song album, recording in 1958. This guy has so much music released, incredible. Known to be a virtuoso from north of India. Very interesting pick, the first song is an introduction to the theory of Indian music.
Grungy/rock, Nirvana feels Its good, but not amazing. Will need to listen to again.
Not available on the music streaming platform I use.
I used to love NIN as a teenager. I think it is good in place and time, but at this time in my life, I'm not a huge fan, but can appreciate the influence this album has had on the history of music in general.
I am starting to see a pattern in these picks. Obviously, the albums in their entirety are not seen as the "need to listen to", but specific songs that have been influencial in general. This is a nice album for easy listening, but it isn't my go to, and I probably won't listen to it in it's entirety again. Sorry to Beach Boys fans! :P
Wow! I totally never listened to Willie Nelson AT ALL, and in my head he was mostly a country signer. BUT this album is EXCELLENT. Wow!
This album is clearly on here because of Tiny Dancer, which makes sense. The rest of the album is good, but it wouldn't be my "go to" album in general.
Approachable punk band, I like it, but I would have to be in a specific mood to listen to this type of music. It is an exceptionally long album, for which I believe the one song that got them famous is Just Like Honey, which is excellent.
I listened to the re-mastered version of this album. It is folk-y and old school guy. Acoustic guitar noodling. Single is called Angie, which is excellent. The rest of the album is good!
Very powerful and eclectic album from what I usually listen to. Has punk influences (1 of their members was from the Pretenders), which I really like (vocals). Hints of folky-banjo vibes. Kind of a curious name for a band when you think about it.
Ah what an actual classic for me. I grew up listening to Blur, and this was nice to bob along to.
Easy listening pop rock/classic rock. Fairly good! Really like Ego Agogo, funky, upbeat. I enjoyed this album enough to add it to my library :)
Women lead but there is a man who sings too, recorded in late 60s, very strange composition, I guess I would call it easy listening rock??? not sure. Feels like garden of eden and church singing in one. Wiki says: "British folk-jazz band with an eclectic mix of folk, jazz, blues and folk rock influences."
I. Love. This. Album. SO MUCH. Cat Stevens is so good, and I have always loved them. This album is EXCELLENT. 5 stars xD

I started listening to this at work, and I needed to stop because I wanted to be able to sit and appreciate it fully. WOW! I love this album. I had never really listened to Jerry Lewis but I am a HUGE fan now!
Meh, its not really my type of music. I can appreciate how it has contributed to culture. I hadn't listened to this since high school
Meh, not a huge fan.
Meh, it's ok, it's not reallllly my thing.
I hadn't listened to Bob Marley since High School, and it is nice relaxing music when puttering around the house in headphones. Would probably not listen to this on regular, but it is nice.
Listening to this album all the way through has been fun and entertaining. A lot of Bob Dylan vibes further into the album, but I guess that's just the product of its time.
I had never listened to this album and it was fun to listen to. I even looked the band up and everything!

It's not my type of music, but it is catchy. Wouldn't really listen to this again.
Synth-y pop 80s band. Interesting beats. Not really my type.
This type of music is a blend of Bob Dylan with more dreamy/exploratory sound. It's good, but I wouldn't listen to it again.
This obviously is on here because of Kashmir. I mean, it is very good. The rest of the album kind of blurs together for me.

I mean, it's Bruce Springsteen. I didn't grow up particularly fond of him, and this album is a testament to that sentiment. 2 = I get it, but not for me.
It is an eclectic album, not really my style.
Oh I was really grooving to this until the second song lyrics about "No really means yes" which is shitty, but within the context of 1996, this type of language really makes sense. And cue the rest of the album being kinda creepy and gross. Ugh.
The beginning of the album is a bit abrasive, but once you get through the first few, you discover really awesome songs. Will need to revisit.
Wow, I tried to listen to this three times, and I can't get through one song of his. I find his voice way too high pitched and whiny. Maybe other stuff will be better. I am going to get the book tonight so I am excited to read the entry.
Not really my style!
Surprisingly good, has Supertramp vibes with the wide use of instruments Instrumental + , jazz, so good, I love it!!
