Upon its release this album became the fastest selling debut album of all time, in the UK, and it still holds that record. The album sparked a cultural revolution in Britain which no band has come close to since, most new UK bands now try to sound like Arctic monkeys. Alex turner's lyrics perfectly describe a night out in a northern town, in England, with witty lyrics accompanied by raw sounding guitars and creative riffs. Matt helders also provides hard hitting drum tracks. Best tracks: view from the afternoon, fake tales of San Francisco, when the sun goes down, mardy bum, a certain romance. Worst tracks: no bad tracks imo. Easily one of my favourite albums ever made.
