TIL I don't like Alice in Chains
Some interesting concepts & sounds but it didn't tie together for me. It was giving "trapped in a house of mirrors while being taunted over the PA"
Lacks a certain je nais se quois, but I enjoy the guitar more than yesterday's.
haven't listened to much kinks but i enjoyed it. not quite the pop bop factor that the beatles had going on
back half of the album hit the spot
Not my favorite indie rock band but its a good album. Songs kind of all run together & sound similar
busy but skillful
Vocals are kinda flat & unemotional, and the backing music sounds like those campy demo songs that come preloaded on a Casio keyboard. I don't think Leonard Cohen is for me. Kinda funny reading about how critically successful this was
Haven't listened to this in a while, it's wonderful. Aside from the more recognizable front half of the album, the whole thing is great. Bullet The Blue Sky slaps.
The album on the whole breathes well and is full of interesting soundbytes. "Policy of Truth" was a standout. Haven't really listened to Depeche Mode before, but enjoyed this. 4/5
Have never sat down and listened to a zeppelin album straight through but this was great. Kashmir is an obvious standout. Ten Years Gone reprises the same chord motif from Kashmir before sailing into a delicious guitar solo.
the intermittent deep-voice snippet on "Love and Affection" is a wonderful easter egg. this song builds really well, not surprising that it looks like this was the standout single from the record. overall pleasant album
Didn't totally care for the spoken interludes, but this album is a vibe. Love the track transitions & overall flow
Goya Soda was a favorite
