Enjoy how lots of songs build with long instrumentals but wish there was more of a pay off like on Soma which is the best song.
Overall can see the influence on lots of modern bands I love.
An album where the sound is still distinctly Red Hot Chilli Peppers as i expected, but not in a bad way.
Ignoring my expectations of the band or the culture around them, it is clearly an enjoyable album 4 songs in.
Scar Tissue is clearly good and obvious why it was a hit.

I did not like this weird computer heavy influence over the jazz.
Some of it just sounded like weird video game music, too long and repetitive.
Strong start, Friction and title track are very good could see them being adds after a second play through.
I guess I don’t really know what “post-punk” means but was expecting it to be a bit louder, shout-ier.

all the way through but don’t think it has much replay ability for me out side of the big hits, which are very good.
The sound does seem to meld together a bit throughout the album but the song writing is good.
It’s okay, feels a bit generic, mostly don’t care for the singers voice very forgettable.
Interesting album some songs feel a bit long. Vocals are interesting but not for me. It’s fine but the 80s synth influence that creeps in I do not like.
